Between 6,000 and 7,000 pedestrians every year are killed by cars, just in the United States.


And that's before we get to the people who survive and can't walk properly, can't walk at all, or who live the rest of their lives as vegetables.

227 Billion trips per year in a vehicle so we'll just count that as one person per car on the safe side. So 227 Billion people in cars making some type of trip each year.

1 billion people fly each year. Pretty straight forward.

Using your death numbers that equals

1 death for every 5.4 million trips in a car. That's not even cars with multiple passengers.

1 death for every 2.8 million passengers in a plane

So driving is safer using those numbers.

We're already at near 20% of the 348 annual deaths in plane and we're only in January.
