Watch this video, you can even pinpoint the exact moment Itsuno joined the team. It's a miracle DMC3 even got made after this.



The only redeeming quality of DMC2 is Dante's design and Lucia, who is forever trapped in that game.:sadcam:

19 enemies

15 bosses
- 3 are reskins
- 10ish are big style
- 5ish are humanoid style (ie. Credo etc.)
- No Lucia
- 10-15 bosses, few are repeats
- Vergil has Yamato and Yamato only, new and returning moves
- Nobody dies explicitly
- No Vergil-Nero father-son moment but the relationship is acknowledged
- RIP Rebellion
- Trish and Lady are more fanservice
- Nobody knew of Urizen in the Demon World until know
- No ties to Mundus
- DSD DT is more about power than combos
- Bringer can be used without DT (STANDO POWAH)
- Breakers will never be switchable at will (Pasta Breaker still relevant)
- If you grab a staggered enemy and mash Square while you do it in DT, you will still summon those curved sowrds like in DMC4 too
And vergil is so good looking honestly the best looking of the cast
- Devil Sword Dante replaces Sparda
- King Cerberus is an unmissable weapon
- No new or surprise Devil Breakers
- No new weapons for Nero
- No new styles for Dante
- DT and Bringer activates at very last mission
- DT is activated using Left D-Pad
- Bringer is mapped to R2
- Can buy Blue and Purple Orbs in the Shop
- Nero DT has weird ram horns (also wings)
- Kyrie or Patty won't be appearing
- Nero won't get Yamato back
- Dante gets Sin DT same time he gets DSD
- Nero's DT works with Breakers, not replaced by Bringer
- Vergil is both a protag and antag
- The best version of Vergil has ever been
- Nero's DT feels like DMC4 DT but more developed
- Some missions, you can choose a character to play as
- NO PLAYABLE VERGIL (RIP)
- V no new summons
- Nero at the end becomes as strong as Dante
- Nothing happens to Yamato after DMC5
- (Person) is happy where Yamato is

Why is Capcom pushing so hard for Nero, it seems he is more of the main character here than Dante.:stopitslime:

It’s the MGS 2 /Kojima effect..
Everybody hated Raiden until they made him a Cyborg in MGS 4..
And now people are still clamoring for a Revergence 2..
Same goes with Nero..
Nobody really cared for Nero in 4 regular..
But this devil breaker concept seems interesting..
A La Raiden Cyborg..
Still don’t get the hype with Vergil tho..
Dante has always been more interesting to me just like Solid Snake/Big Boss..
Even after playing DMC 3(Regular/SE back in the day) and DMC 4(Regular/SE)..
Vergil was just meh to me..
His intentions and character development :ld:

The theory is that itsuno made nero and pretty much made vergil so he likes them both more than dante that's why he pushes them a lot.

I'll never understand how anyone can say bayo's combat is better then DMC. Is it more flashy? Yes. But DMC always feels like i have way more control over my character then Bayonetta does.

But to each its own. I love the bayo series so im not trying to bash it. And Bayo 3 is coming in due time. But right now it's all about

Both Bayonetta and DMC have almost the same amount of depth to their combat. Bayonetta just has even easier controls and allows new players to pull off combos even easier. In that sense, DMC is more technical because it wants you to be deliberate in every action.

For ex: Bayonetta has manual lock-on but also has auto-lock in at the same time. Bayonetta has one button dodge regardless of you locking on that slows time for enemies. Bayonetta has long range melee attacks that don't require you to get close to your enemy while also having a free form combat system that allows you to switch from an enemy to the next. It has dodge offsett letting you continue combos after dodging, and shooting guns mid combo regardless of attack button. All this builds depth to the game and at the same time makes the game super easy to pick up.

DMC would've needed you to input more actions to do these things making skill ceiling higher
