I find it ironic that this happened during the same time. Incidents like these, where some black man deliberately shoots up their own is just more icing on the cake as to why black life should be devalued. Now, of course this isn't my rationale because in my view murder is murder no matter what the color of the suspect. However, I can picture those who'll look at the incident at the barbershop and use it to deflect what happened to that young women. This is fact.

And I may be delving in to the topic too deeply but let me say this...

I think what happened at the barber shop only highlights a lot of what is wrong with the black community and in particular black men today. Here, you have grown men who should be doing something of substance that empowers their community (knowing the dire state that its in). Instead they rather spend their time shooting dice and engaging in foolishness that only sets their community back. Meanwhile, wealth is continually being drained out of black pockets and into the hands of foreigners. Schools are continually setting our young children for failure. And racial discriminate and profiling goes on. These are the issues brothers should be risk their lives for. Not a damn crap game.
It's a operation in futility. And the current weak state of the black male is essentially why the cold blooded murder of a young black women will remain unanswered.
