When change was actually happening in this country be it for better or for worse it wasn't happening the way us "educated" and "non hood" nikka's seem to think its happening now. When you get out the hood we all get this "well if they just do what I did everything would be better" No nikka things would be the same, the country is not built for black people to get ahead rule or make any type of changes to there image. Sure you'll get glimpse's of false power, a mixed president, a couple rich black folk like Oprah... to be honest I can't even think of anyone else that Is rich off a come up that isn't music, sports, or black entertainment. The really rich black people are all actual Africans.
If you a low- middle class black person monetary wise you're kids are born into that poverty circle. You can send to private school, keep then in the burbs, move them to bel air.... It does matter, when its all said and done they wont have made a fraction of a impact of the image of black people to this country. Not only that, they won't even understand the struggle and why alot of poorer black people act, live or behave the way they do... Everything you worked for to make sure you're kids don't have to deal with, they'll still have to deal with it. It'll just be masked, or they will be totally ignorant to the fact until stabbed in the back or they get that true eye opening experience.
In a nut shell you can't beat, belittle and enslave a race of people. "Set them free" have most of them populate ghetto's introduce them to a system where they truly have no power and then expect them to not to be ruff around the edges, not expect them to create a image for themselves be it negative or whatever.
And when its all said and done, the majority of people act like everything is okay, and its disgusting because black people are falling into that same trap now. They are growing up with these white kids and watching these show's and movies with huge "hidden" political and social messages and they nod there head now, yeah its no bodies fault but our own? "Everyone has a fair chance in this country its depends on how much work you are willing to put in, everyone's equal"
Its sad the wool is pull over our eyes as black folk, even in the music industry. Think about it, the two biggest selling hiphop artist this year will be two white men, one that came up promoting the same "BS" most other rappers do or did.. "But is considered the GOAT" and another that is all about being liberal.. thrift stores and gay relationships...
