Once the show comes back and they start having clips all on people's Facebook feeds, like they did a few months ago, this talk of falling off will be fun to reflect on. I'm surprised they don't videotape the podcast. Unless there's some contractual limitation, it would have made a ton of sense as a way to keep them visible.
Since they've moved to Milk studios they have a recording of the podcast on their Youtube page
shyt, I wasn't aware. A big part of their popularity was Vice posting 5 minute clips of their segments on social media. That led to people sharing said clips. They're just bullshytting on the podcast. It's a literal 2 hour stream of whatever comes to mind. They're not doing a commentary on relevant current topics. I'm sure thay'll get back to that on the Showtime series
Yeah i think they mentioned that they're going back to that format, but this time around they'll have writers and stuff on the Showtime version.

Not sure what the performance of the podcast is like, but I feel like they kinda half-assed it up until recently where they finally began filming. I don’t even listen anymore anyhow.
IMO, they should’ve been doing more guest interviews on the podcast too - i.e. Jonah Hill...since it was going to be their only outlet for over 7 months.

the reason their old show worked is cuz of how topical it was. hard to be topical if they end up only doing 1 30 minute show a week.
