Worst case scenario is not agreeing to a deal now.Jimmy balls out this season(which is plausible with rose, gasol, mcdermott to take the attention off him this year) then next summer some idiot team offers him 4 years 48-50 mil and the bulls have to match or let him walk like they did asik

Y'all keep thinkin 7-8 mil is fair let him hit that market and he won't get anything less than 10 a year.Bulls better pay jimmy or they fukked up.

Talks on a contract extension for Chicago Bulls forward Jimmy Butler ended without a deadline deal on Friday, agent Happy Walters told Yahoo Sports.

Butler rejected the Bulls’ final offer on Friday morning and plans to enter into restricted free agency in July.

“It came down to me deciding that I want to bet on myself,” Butler told Yahoo Sports in a text message on Friday. “It was about me believing that I put the work in this summer to become a better player with the hope that my improvement will give the Bulls a better chance to win a championship.”

The sides still have until midnight EST on Friday to reach agreement on a 2011 draft class rookie extension, but Bulls officials expressed to Butler and his reps at Relativity Media, Walters and Steve McCaskill, that they made their final offer earlier on Monday.

Got no problem with Jimmy wanting to get his money. I just hope the Bulls can match whatever offer he gets in the summer unless some defensively shytty team like the Lakers gives him huge money out of desperation :mjcry:

Well Jimmy playing his ass off for his money this season is a good thing. If he comes through cash him out. If not try to flip him for something else.

I still say he should be paid in the 7-9 area, and maybe 10

But you start turning me when you get up to 12-14 mill. He def gotta show he worth that first.
