Dunleavy+Snell last night: 57 minutes 9-17 shooting 8-14 from three, 28 points. The lack of rebounds (4 from Dunleavy, 0 Snell) wasn't good but that's the spacing they need to provide.

Noah in three games:
On Court
Offense: 102.8
Defense: 98.2
Difference: +4.7

Off Court
Offense: 108.5
Defense: 87.5
Difference: +21.0

NET ON/OFF: -16.3

:sas1: "IF Derrick Rose can stay healthy" blah blah blah

:sas1: "When you got Jimmy Butler, Aaron Brooks coming off the bench, Mirawtic....uh Mirooohtic" :skip: "Mirotic" :sas2: "Mirotic, that's it, when you got Tony Snell and dem boyz, I think they can give the Cleveland Cavaliers some problems"

300 murders a year
Thibs was still very very questionable in this game. Thank GOD we were able to pull this out, because that L would have been a terrible way to lose.

He waited entirely too long to sub Noah out when the Bucks were playing small. Dudley was playing the 4, and he was basically roaming off Noah on D, and then he was pulling Noah away from the basket when the Bucks were on offense. It was just a bad bad matchup, because Noah's confidence is completely shot on the offensive end and Dudley literally was ignoring him when we had the ball. He should have put in Snell sooner, but he ended up going with Taj, which I'm cool with because we all know Taj ain't afraid to get some shots up.

Our offensive sets are basically trash. This is Thibs fault, and it's clearly a weak point of his coaching. How many times do we have to watch guys catch the ball somewhere on the floor and just hold it and wait to get trapped before doing shyt? Nobody's cutting, everybody's spotting up around the 3 so the person with the ball has to survey the floor while 2 dudes are trapping them and find whoever's open cross court. That's a big part of why they had so many turnovers.

It didn't take long for the Bulls' offense to go back into "Watch Rose do something" ball did it? There were a few plays in that 4th that were just terrible play calls, and I don't know why because they were directly out of timeouts. I remember one that was from a baseline out of bounds play... 5 seconds left, they ended up getting a tough ass Rose step back. Just a tougher shot that I would hope for out of a TO. Another, was when there was 45 seconds in the game in the first OT, and for some reason the Bulls didn't go 2 for 1. They literally took the ball out from under the basket instead of at halfcourt, ran some kind of weak ISO/screen play for Jimmy and he ended chucking some desperation shot as the shotclock expired. Then we were at the mercy of our defense and Milwaukee missing the game's last shot. That's not supposed to happen when it's a tie game and you have the ball with 45 seconds on the clock.

:what:

shyt was just sloppy down the stretch offensively, and a lot of that had to do with Thibs just not having a good play to call up his sleeve. The best late game decision he made was after Middleton made that shot to put them up by 1 with 10 to go and he didn't call a TO (because they didn't have one anyway) and Rose attacked before the D was set.
Good breakdown.

bulls still getting straight disrespected on first take. fukk the clippers.

What they say about the clippers?

I don't even bother with First Take (or any media regarding analysis of the bulls) it all comes down to Rose's health. If he has a good game, we wonder if he's back to "MVP form.." when he's not playing well, we wonder is he hurt, or is the next Penny or Brandon Roy.

Even before he got hurt in 2012, Skip used to kill me cause he would always use that narrative (probably still does) about Rose being from Chicago and "Wanting to run through a wall". Implying that's the reason we lost in 2011 and wouldn't be able to get past the Heat.

and I get the vibe that Stephen A doesn't really watch us much and relies on the usual talking points to give us credit lol

@NickFriedell: Rose: "Nobody knows how hard I worked, that's the fun thing about it. That's the exciting thing about it."

@NickFriedell: Rose: "Nobody knows what to expect because I don't know what to expect. It's kind of like predicting weather, nobody knows."

@NickFriedell: Rose: "All I know is that I prepare myself well and I have a lot of confidence in myself."

@NickFriedell: Rose says he's a smarter player than he's ever been: "That old, young reckless player that you saw years ago, he's not there anymore."

@NickFriedell: Does Rose like being this player more?

"I love this player. This player is better."

@NickFriedell: Rose said he and the Bulls like the role of being the underdog -- "where we know going into games it's us against everyone."

@NickFriedell: Derrick Rose just finished off his best media session of year, in my opinion. He's feeling good, believes Bulls have 'something special'

@NickFriedell: Rose says his body is feeling fine after 48 minute performance in Game 3.

@NickFriedell: Thibs says Mirotic is still day to day. Sounds unlikely for Game 4.

The front office of the Chicago Bulls have downplayed reports of a strained relationship they have with Tom Thibodeau.

But people close to Thibodeau expect him to be fired this offseason.

Thibodeau's propensity to give what some may believe to be excessive minutes to some of his players has been an issue with the front office.

Thibodeau also was not happy with the firing of Ron Adams, among other issues.
