Kirk only got 6 minutes that is okay. Thibs adjusted. My only gripe with thibs is playing noah that many minutes when he was having a horrible game.

But going with snell down the stretch was good considering snell impacted our defense better than dunleavy could. Maybe thibs growing.

going with snell late in the game was a bold move because prior to that, MDJ was cooking. and that was before snell rell heated up towards the end of the game. but :coachthibs: made the right move in that instance.

if snell rell can hit those open shots, we will be good since he brings much better defense and athleticism that MDJ doesn't.

Thibs was still very very questionable in this game. Thank GOD we were able to pull this out, because that L would have been a terrible way to lose.

He waited entirely too long to sub Noah out when the Bucks were playing small. Dudley was playing the 4, and he was basically roaming off Noah on D, and then he was pulling Noah away from the basket when the Bucks were on offense. It was just a bad bad matchup, because Noah's confidence is completely shot on the offensive end and Dudley literally was ignoring him when we had the ball. He should have put in Snell sooner, but he ended up going with Taj, which I'm cool with because we all know Taj ain't afraid to get some shots up.

Our offensive sets are basically trash. This is Thibs fault, and it's clearly a weak point of his coaching. How many times do we have to watch guys catch the ball somewhere on the floor and just hold it and wait to get trapped before doing shyt? Nobody's cutting, everybody's spotting up around the 3 so the person with the ball has to survey the floor while 2 dudes are trapping them and find whoever's open cross court. That's a big part of why they had so many turnovers.

It didn't take long for the Bulls' offense to go back into "Watch Rose do something" ball did it? There were a few plays in that 4th that were just terrible play calls, and I don't know why because they were directly out of timeouts. I remember one that was from a baseline out of bounds play... 5 seconds left, they ended up getting a tough ass Rose step back. Just a tougher shot that I would hope for out of a TO. Another, was when there was 45 seconds in the game in the first OT, and for some reason the Bulls didn't go 2 for 1. They literally took the ball out from under the basket instead of at halfcourt, ran some kind of weak ISO/screen play for Jimmy and he ended chucking some desperation shot as the shotclock expired. Then we were at the mercy of our defense and Milwaukee missing the game's last shot. That's not supposed to happen when it's a tie game and you have the ball with 45 seconds on the clock.

:what:

shyt was just sloppy down the stretch offensively, and a lot of that had to do with Thibs just not having a good play to call up his sleeve. The best late game decision he made was after Middleton made that shot to put them up by 1 with 10 to go and he didn't call a TO (because they didn't have one anyway) and Rose attacked before the D was set.

that only happened because he stupidly burned our last TO with a minute left and the ball in hand

I was heated over that waste of a timeout (because they ran a bullshyt set he could have called from the sideline)

good post btw

I doubt they would have got a better shot after a TO anyway. Thibs sucks at drawing up plays.

Well my thoughts were , what if we needed to advance the ball to half court. You always need to keep a TO in the back pocket for that

:francis:

Vintage Stagnant Offense waiting on Rose to do work

One positive I can say is that this was against a good defensive team.

there is no need for Kirk in the postseason, Brooks gives us the scoring punch we need from a backup PG and Snell is just clearly a better option at the 2 in literally every possible facet of the game

Thibs needs to see this man

he obviously did see it, which is why kirk didn't see the court in the 2nd half.
