He’s shown he can play like that whenever he feels like it, but it’s been obvious that he only does it against elite teams. In other words, he’s the type of player who has an on/off switch that’s literally like day and night. The problem is his off switch is pretty trash. It’s a non-issue at this point of the season, as he’ll have it flipped permanently “on” in a couple weeks for the playoffs and likely have everyone 'forgive' his regular season botches… but he needs to put in some serious work this offseason in refining his off switch/’chill mode’ game.. bc he’s not exactly Steph Curry from 3.

Next season will be a turning point imo, now that I think he’s past his knee issues. Meaning if he doesn’t want to aggressively attack the paint except in big games (so basically like 30ish games out of an 82 gm season) then he has to show that whatever alternative Derrick Rose shows up in the other 40-50 reg season games is still highly effective.

I agree. We need him to be better when he turns off the switch (if thats even the case)

These 1-6 3pt shooting night, with lazy turnovers/defense cant be acceptable man

Its fine if he cant go hard like that every night, completely understandable. But damn, he can always show effort on D, and I dont see whats wrong with turning some of those 3pt attempts to midrange shots.
