As I have stated a hundred times. Dunleavy and this small forward by committee will be the death of us. He is not improving defensively and when his shot not falling he useless.

With kirk starting you have another ball handler who can guard most 2 guards and is respectable enough from 3 where teams just can't leave him. Dunleavy is a bench player and it allows dougie to develop slowly and not have much required of him as a rookie. Snell is d league level right now. So he odd man out.

All of this is of course based on the fact we know these dudes not making no trades to get another wing here.

With Dunleavy starting vs cleveland kyrie lebron and waiters will embarrass dunleavy so whoever he on getting buckets..with kirk starting that does not happen cause rose and kirk can handle kyrie and waiters defensively as they did easily when we faced them monday.

missed the game. I see rose balled out again. but I hate it when we go into a season where we are considered contenders with such a glaring weakness. reminds me of the bogans situation all over again.

I hope dunleavy gets injured again just to save :coachthibs: from himself.

Hinrich was getting more sets ran for him than Rose in the 4th

they looked like they didnt care

jimmy needs to come back. I don't want to see hinrich playing starter's minutes for the 3rd consecutive year

Mirotic will be the odd man out of the rotation unless injuries force him to get tick that euro cac aint ready to play in the nba right now.Thibs stubborn ass probably won't fully utilize this roster unless injuries force him too.

I hope the bulls don't eventually quit on thibs like they did skiles.

Why would Mirotic not get minutes? He could easily play alongside Taj and let him work in the post. If anything, Snell and Dun need their minutes cut drastically. I like the idea of Rose/Kirk backcourt

We invested ALOT in McDermott

he should be out there over Dunleavy to close games

given what we gave up to get him, I assumed that he was being brought in to start as well knowing that dunleavy ain't the answer at SF anyways.

Not really disagreeing w/ you about Kirk starting. It's more that I'm just really sad about it being true.
Truth be told though, if Kirk is our best 2-guard, there's absolutely no way we're winning the east unless Jimmy is putting up 20ppg.

We saw last night how early minny went to trapping rose early and getting the ball out his hands cause they knew what was coming with Rubio on rose solo, he was food

With kirk on the floor they got out that set quickly cause they saw how easy it was to get shots for dunleavy gasol etc and if those dudes would have hit literally wide open shots it would have been a blowout early.

If we sit kirk and go with Jimmy and dunleavy we right back to stagnant offense with the ball ending up in noah hands at the top of the 3 pt line. Then all a defense has to do is give noah space and we right back to rose getting the ball back with the shot clock winding down. That's not good offense

Sends dunleavy to the bench and allows dougie to develop slowly and takes minutes away from snell who ain't ready. Brooks as a scoring pg can run the bench with taj mirotic and dunleavy. Brooks just got to get a little better defensively but he will be playing against most teams 2nd units so he should be okay. He a better player when he handling the offense rather than playing off the ball with kirk at pg.

These dudes ain't trading for nobody, the real answer is we need to make a move but we all know they not making no move

Kirk just brings more to the table for what we need. He especially valuable vs cleveland as he can defend both waiters and kyrie.

We should start Kirk then hope cleveland inexperience in the playoffs hurt them. Best chance we have

I doubt Mirotic gets any minutes in the regular season. That would mean Thibs is going w/ a 10-man rotation which seems unlikely.
