Take that garbage posting out of this thread, shyt's tedious.
And now were back to the emotional rantno, i didnt take time off destiny...the grind was real when the game first dropped, so there was no time to take off if you wanted to level shyt up....after the major changes with the house of wolves expansion, the grind to level up was less, but there was a bunch of shyt to go after.....so basically i played the shyt for 3 years straight lol....i played other games, but destiny was the main one...i did everything you could do in the game, collected every weapon/piece of gear, etc., and helped others do it too....i stopped the beginning of this year....not cause i was bored, the game was still fun, but felt like working on my backlog and playing some of the new games that were dropping.....anyway, of course some people left, that happens with every game, but gamers werent leaving in waves like you implied initially....the retention of gamers on destiny was strong for the first 3 years....
lol what? reworked story doesnt equal '1 game for 10 years' like you said lol.....just stop.....
uhh, no, it was always 3 games.....the thing that changed wasnt the amount of games, but the amount of expansions...initially they said 1-2 every year in between main game releases, but that was unrealistic, which they quickly found out...that's when they started doing the free events, to go along with the expansions....
...for you not to care about destiny, you sure do wanna keep talking about it lol....we get it, you dont like the game/franchise, that's cool...but just cause you dont like it, doesnt mean others cant like it....you said you have over 300 games and 13 new ones pre-ordered, so you have plenty to keep you busy and your mind off a game/franchise you dont like/care about....have fun...
See that period after franchise. Then the seldom used double coma to accurately articulate "so, absolutely"When I asked if the 10 year year plan was still the objective, Barrett answered “We’re focused right now on the current release, on Rise of Iron, but there are a lot of great stories to be told and there’s a lot stuff we want to do with the franchise. So, absolutely, we see a lot of potential for more adventures, more features”.
Bonus Find: Also buried in the documents? Destiny is described as a five-part series, meaning the “every other year for a full sequel” theory many fans and observers have had for a while now may be valid.
[/QUOTE]And now were back to the emotional rant
Where did I say I hate Destiny? (I didn't)
Where in this thread did I encourage anyone not to like it? I'll wait
You the one trying to rewrite history on the 10yr thing. Why do you think you can tell me whay their plan was like if I wasn't right here, watching them tell the world this stuff?
Why was that repeated by every gaming news outlet, confirmed by Bungie in countless interviews, or even the reveal.
Even gave you a direct link to them being asked about it and you still playing dumb pointing out the truth doesn't mean I hate the game you got emotional, painted a picture that you can't backup with evidence. Let me show you how that works.
Destiny was revealed as a game that would last 10yrs, already posted that link.
Let me show you what you're in denial about...
See that period after franchise. Then the seldom used double coma to accurately articulate "so, absolutely"
I know you want it to be that everyone misheard them but nah
I also said 5 games, not 3. Here ya go
Bungie: There's No 'Ten Year' Plan For Destiny
You say people didn't leave?
Before the first expansion people was already claiming the game was getting repetitive quick. After the first two expansions people was leaving in droves. Raids got boring quick, one of my best friends lives Destiny, and its popular on this site. Feel free to go to the official thread if you wanna see more proof about gamers getting tired
i preordered the digital + expansion pass bundle. i'll prolly get that day off so i'm not distracted at work. hopefully the servers don't get fukked up
its for the best makes it easier to kill shyt. did you see all the edge leaks?to get back to talking with people about this game:
one thing i can say i dont like about the changes they've made - the streamlining of our abilities....there is no more setups of you picking whatever combination of abilities you wanted....you have to pick a group of predetermined abilities now....i get why they did it: they going for that mlg money, and that was the closest thing they could do to 'balance' that shyt.....but i enjoyed my random space magic setups, and will miss them...
its for the best makes it easier to kill shyt. did you see all the edge leaks?
killing shyt was already easy though lol....that was a straight pvp & mlg move.....
naw, havent seen them, what they say?....
"Patrols and Strikes — the only PVE activities available in Destiny 1 outside of story missions — don’t unlock until the final third of the campaign, and until the notification popped up we hadn’t even noticed their absence. In total there are over 80 missions and activities in Destiny 2, and each is substantial — in length, challenge, story and reward."
" There's so much new content that at one point in development they realised they had more content than progression (something they've subsequently fixed)"
" There were apparently a few other things revealed to the Edge team visiting Bungie but that they were asked not to reveal; one involves the Hunter class and left the reviewers happy that the class will shape up well."
"So, yes, relax: base cooldowns are lower in the final game than they were in the beta. Yet there is a wider, structural change at play here, one born of a very different philosophy to that which drove the first game’s design. There, cooldowns were mostly reduced by stats that randomly rolled on pieces of armour. They were passive, bestowed upon you automatically by the things you wore. Here, they are active; if you want your next grenade more quickly, you’re going to have to work for it. Take, for example, our beloved Warlock. A perk in the Dawnblade subclass lets us speed up the recharge rate of our grenade with airborne kills; an exotic chestpiece, acquired during the campaign when our character’s level is still in single figures, makes us hover in place when we aim down our gunsights in the air. Dispatch four or five enemies while airborne and our grenade is ready again."
And nightfalls will have a time limit now
you miss one important part breh.. .we are getting exotics in the single digis.interesting info:
- dont know how i feel about patrols not being available until towards the end of the game...that was one of the things i enjoyed doing the most: patrolling...going exploring, finding new areas, and new enemies that kicked my ass cause i was under leveled lol.....
- i do dig there is a time limit on nightfalls now....it'll add the toughest back to them....they made them too easy the sec you didnt go back to orbit when you died...yea, it was frustrating sometimes, but it helped show the difference between a nightfall and a strike....
- as for abilities, gotta wait and see what they looking like in game....
...at this point, i'm just ready to get my hands on the game and get lost in it.....i cant fukking wait.....fukk it, gonna go head and pre-order that digital deluxe today....
you miss one important part breh.. .we are getting exotics in the single digis.
1.) Where did I say I disliked the game
2.) So we all assumed it was a 10yr game, everyone got it wrong everybody. It wasn't THEM saying that, it was us misunderstanding them.
And this is really your final answer
Finally, all my previous points you just don't talk about. The amount of games, people leaving then coming back. You denied all this. So everyone lying?
Here is detailed accounts of Destiny's history.
The Timeline: Destiny
The official thread you talked about, they echo everything I been saying. I've provided proof, you provide lip service. At the end of the day what are wet debating here? I've backed up my points, you haven't, I win
