I think Destiny 1 I was rocking sensitivity 2 or 3. In the beta I had to move it to 6 but I might actually up it some more. In terms of movement, I do like that there's no sprint cooldown

PvE:

I understand the cooldown complaints because I found myself instinctively tapping the grenade button when I didn't have one. Given that we're the D1 equivalent of tier 0, and they've acknowledged this, I think it'll be fixed. Power Ammo was scarce, but at the same time, I found myself content using my primary to kill most things. Whatever that exotic hand cannon the hunters get is called a nice workhorse weapon that got the job done through the mission and the strikes. If they can give all exotics the hmmph that this one had, I can find myself content with this new weapon system. Hunters are in the exact place they were at the launch of D1, where it'll be conceived that have less viability in this side of the game. Arc Strider can offer great add clear since it has a sort of AoE thing going on now. Chain of Woe can be a decent thing, which will allow a titan to conserve their wall, or switch to the large wall if needed, but multiple titans in a raid may make that null. All in all, it's hard to judge this side of the game without seeing the entire progression system.

PvP:

This really tore me. The PvP felt great as far as the balance, and the focus on gun skill. Team play seemed to be what will consistently win games and I can see a large skill gap with this game. On the other hand, the bullshyt that made Destiny fun wasn't there anymore. Heroic moments where you could engage multiple people was near impossible without heavy weapons. While I can see the changes attracting the competitive try=-ards that won't let their glory days of 2007-2010 go, I can see this turning away a lot of the casual fan base who actually enjoyed what Destiny used to be.

TL;DR

The game has potential, but at the same time, I can see a lot of D1 fans being turned away from this very streamlined version of the game.

I agree with a lot of what you say. At the same time, I'm pretty positive going into the release. If the communities biggest complaints so far are the tuning of things that Bungie has absolutely shown an (over)willingness to to fix during the life of D1, then we're in a good spot going forward.

One big thing that no one's mentioned yet. There HAS to be a Lone Wolf playlist for PvP.

I'm positive too, but their over willingness to give in to community complaints scares us. They have a vision, and they need to balance things around it and not let redditors mold their game. PvE needs to put an emphasis moving around while fighting a boss instead of hunkering down with our spindles and sleepers and damaging bosses for X amount of time.

Besides maybe a bit of a faster recharge rate on supers, and more playlists, I feel like PvP is in a great spot. Like I said, some are gonna like it, some are gonna hate it but Bungie nerds to stick with what they're doing and add maybe a bullshyt playlist instead of overhauling this to the needs of a certain group of players.

Its a catch 22. If Bungie doesn't roll over to the community, we still have stuff like getting blues out of legendary engrams and get smacked from across the map by Thorns.

Ironically, this might be the one of the few betas that may actually be a real beta. Most devs love throwing that around, but the very static layout of everything between PvP, Pve, and even the ranges between certain options (like the weird no man's land that currently exists between sensitivity 3-6 in regard to their aim assist) all feel like devices for pure data gathering.

I still feel that Hunters have been preemptively shyt on for how they dominated the last game. Dodge giving you a free reload when Titans get infinite reloads for their entire group AND a barrier? Warlocks get blink and a twilight garrison air dodge on a much less restrictive timer? GG is still trash at orb generation too? One of the devs must've been getting waxed for the past three years. We saw this hate at the end of the D1 life cycle when they nerfed tripmine grenades, throwing knife, and hungering blade out of nowhere.

and that's it in the nutshell: the beta shows that they are going after the competitive scene hard...all the bytching/complaining that community did got them what they wanted: a game more focused on gunplay and less abilities.....basically, taking away the thing that makes destiny, destiny...

now, while i had fun with the beta, they gonna have to have a lot to do in pve to get me to play d2 like like did d1....cause i dont see me playing the pvp like i did d1's cause while i enjoy using guns, i also like doing random shyt with abilities too.....the shyt that made destiny, destiny...
