The AR nerf isn't more significant than the HC range buff across the board. Its not quite back to Forsaken levels, but they'll be able to punch at the ranges necessary to snuff a lot of the AR problems.

The damage nerf to ARs is..... It brings 600s in line with the rest imo. The ease of use / damage / forgiveness combo was just too much. I think ARs are finally gonna be in a good spot across the board.

Im looking to get back into this game on PS5.

Some background. I played Destiny from the original + every expansion up until Destiny 2 base game + year 1. So I would have 3 expansions to get caught up on.

I didnt like that Destiny 2 seemed like it was getting to micro-transactions and the other nickel and dime shyt.

So...how is it now? Is it full of micro-transactions for cosmetics or excessive daily grinds to get good loot?

Help me brehs, either get me back into it or kill it to me forever. Im tired of sitting on the fence.

I’m sick of looking at every expansion trailer since Forsaken like :lupe:

Micro transactions still there but it ain't the end of the world, you get in this last week of the haunted forest, that will get you some loot and it free to play, week after that, the big dlc comes out

I don't see how some how some way you don't spend a ,100 dollars to catch up, but the game is free to play

If you like Destiny and haven't played the Forsaken campaign, you should do it now before they vault it in a few weeks.

Forsaken and up is really good. The microtransactions are cosmetic and not needed. The grind is real, though.

Thank you, I appreciate all the responses.

Last question: So, to play Forsaken, I would have to buy the expansion, speed thru it in a couple of weeks only to see the content vaulted and inaccessible after early Nov?

Most of forsaken happens on the tangled shore/dreaming city

Now the wanted enemy that are on the vaulted planets, I don't know what happens

More Darkness Subclasses

Luke Smith stated that this was only the beginning for Darkness subclasses and that we will see more in the future. Whether it is more built around Stasis or if the Darkness will give us new powers is still up for debate, but it is safe to say we will be seeing more than just what comes November 10th.

Content Length

I have always been a fan of how Bungie handles setting expectations. We see it frequently with the TWAB articles and we saw it here today. Luke Smith was honest and stated that the team working on Beyond Light was half the size of the one on Forsaken. As a result, Beyond Light will be bigger than Shadowkeep but still smaller in size compared to Forsaken.

Transmog

The Transmog system is the most anticipated feature for all Dresstiny fans. It is a known fact that the only thing that gets a Guardian more excited than killing a worm god is picking out what helmet will go with their boots. Though we do not have a set date for when the Transmog system will be implemented, we have received confirmation that it will pull from Collections. This means you can now freely delete all of those armor sets you have been hording in your vault and make room for some of the new equipment launching next season. The only other piece of information I would have liked to get was whether all armor will be included in Transmog or only specific sets. Hopefully we will get more information as we get closer to the launch of the system.

I keep telling myself I'm not, but I know I'mma end up doing it on Saturday afternoon when I look at my collection of games, and get disgusted at not having anything I want to play.

Go ahead and do it... I'm already set up ready to go... :mjlit:
