Maybe the pressure will get them to tell us about how they can give us the more frequent sandbox updates and a more steady stream of content like they said they were:skip:
tfw when all of your planned updates were monetized in some way :merchant:

The way activision been giving the pipe to all the cod fanboys you know damn well they were looking at Destiny's playerbase on some
vsDR7Xa.gif

Luke Smith himself is making an appearance at this weeks livestream. Maybe we'll finally know what's up and what we're in for with the update that's going live alongside Osiris.
Livestream gonna be a bunch of

full

and non committal corporate babbel.

Bring back 6v6s, 3v3s, Rumble and the ability to select PvP modes. In addition, remove static rolls, game goes straight from a 3/10 to a solid 6/10 overnight.

yeah, also make end game rewards matter. intrinsic raid perks for raid gear and adept versions of trials weapons for flawless cards.

also rework that mod system. armor in Destiny 1 had one reload perk, one stat perks and a third perk for melee or ability. In this stupid sequel you get either mobility/resilience/recovery and a mod slot and the mods are terrible. Some of the decisions with this game were so bad.

When Bungie really came out and revealed this game and confirmed that it's going to be 60fps for PS4/X1 in 2017 I knew I wasn't buying it.

Yal nikkas have to call these companies out with your wallets, show some restraint and discipline. I knew from the gameplay reveals and the videos that were coming out prior to this release, that the gameplay experience would be way too similar for those who really went hard in Destiny 1 to keep playing this shyt. Anytime I pulled up this game on twitch, the PVP aspect looked just dry and boring... that wasn't the case in D1 which was full of fukkery. The speed of the game, the sniping, the shoguns, the various builds and weaponary people used... why the fukk would they nerf that shyt AND on top of that why would they strip it down like that to be more competitive, and release the game without a Ranked Mode?

:laff:

shyt was a joke, and I saw right through everything they were talking about.

It was completely unacceptable for a studio as big as Bungie to not target this game to be 60fps. I can't believe nikkas really were fine with that on some, :manny:... "as long as the game is fun, who cares"... or "I don't even care about 60fps".... Hell, if they kept a lot of what D1 had in it and just upped the fps the game would play A LOT different.

I was going to get this on PC initially, but I don't even have the energy for Destiny anymore, fukk it.

You won breh, no sarcasm. I'm not generally concerned about framerates myself but in hindsight should have interpreted their reluctance to go 60fps as a barometer for the overall incompetency that would follow. I think it was you who posted how every other FPS runs at 60 (TF,OW, COD, BF etc) except this....

The lead developer was on a podcast the other day saying how the made these changes so it could appeal to Twitch viewers:snoop: , irony being of course the fast pace, ability filled D1 was infinitely more interesting to play & watch than this lead footed, no space magic having ass characters. The fiixes are easy, but they're seemingly too arrogant, blind sided and most importantly, have made a tonne of money on the game so the incentive isn't there to fix things.

Can't even get hyped for Anthem cos EA's behind that and Lord know what micro transaction/P2W bullshyt they're gonna infest that with

The whole 60fps thing, I feel they could have maybe hit 60fps on the X and maybe the Pro but they hid behind that parity and fairness bullshyt.

If I spent $500 on a new Xbox One X, I should get to have that 60fps advantage in multiplayer. If the other player couldn't afford it, too fukking bad. PC players have had to deal with people playing multiplayer and all different frame rates and nobody gives a fukk, they just play. Nobody cares that somebody who can afford a more expensive rig than you can handle 144fps or something crazy like that while you're locked at 60fps. You just accept it and play

Destiny 2 should definitely have been 60fps. That's my only complaint about the game.
Going from Destiny 2 to Halo 5 there is a HUGE difference. I'm not a huge fan of the dynamic resolution they (halo 5) had to use, but it works and they should have used it for Destiny 2.

The tick rate is 30hz anyway. So it would feel better motion wise but there wouldn't be an advantage to hit registration cause the servers are only updating damage 30 times a second anyway.

If BF1 can hit 60fps I don't see why this game can't. BF1 has better graphics, more lighting and particles, bigger maps, higher player count, destructible environments, vehicles and aerial combat.

That Frostbite engine's something else, it'd be nice if bungie optimized their code. I actually think with studios like Bungie when Activision pumps so much money into it them they become bloated. What happens now is they have 700 employees making a game that 200 dedicated people could easily have made too. My suspicion is you have a lot of employees over there with hyper specific roles etc that don't actually do much of value and there's probably a lot of slacking because of the bloated staff. It's like you are recycling assets, mechanics, and all kinds of code from game to game, most of the modes are copy and paste style missions. But the games made a lot of money so it's like, who's gonna fess up to not being valuable to the company. I imagine Bungie is just eatin money up from activision, like yea the DLC is gonna cost 80 million in development costs and we need to pay 700 people, and they get the money.

Meanwhile CD Projekt Red or someone similar will do 5 times the content, with a million times more effort, for less money, and with less employees, all while being fair and respectful to the customer.

It reminds me of local drug enforcement. They want the drug war and will exaggerate it to get funding. Now you got small towns with 5,000 people with their own drug task force. Just bloated and syphoning money from the government but they'll never fess up to not being needed, cause they're getting paid. That's what bungies doin.
