You can play the game alone. You just won't be able to do the raid or the strikes without a full team.
The single player (co-op) content is fun.

In D1 there were factions that functioned as vendors that you could pledge loyalty to in order to buy and earn specific gear. In D2 they are similar; however, instead of being a permanent vendor in the tower they only come around during the "Faction Rally" event where you can earn tokens through activites and get gear from them that's only available during the rally.

Finally got my Antiope-d/Annual Skate last night and proceeded to have +3 efficiency in the crucible

Altogether, around 8 hours of nonstop grinding on Titan. Went from rank 0 to rank 29 with Sloane just to get the full set. Now I just need to run the raid for some more of the calus shader and I'll be

Each planet and each of the vendors. Even Ikora has a set.

Got damn. I can't even bring myself to play more than 30 mins per a session anymore. Oh well.

It's really odd of them to only give you 8 out of 10 of the emperor seals(legend of acrius exotic) per raid run. Why stop at 8 and not 5 so you'll need 2 full runs. It's pretty struggle to find a group do do just one encounter get the last 2.

I haven't had any problem getting lfg groups for nightfalls or the raid, but the clan section be mad dead. I see about 1 or 2 brehs on at any given time.
