Can't really speak for the crucible portion of the game since I haven't spent any meaningful time with it, but everything else about this game has been a blast.
Level progression has been great, loot drops have been solid, weapon variety is great, I really don't have any serious complaints against this game.
Some more mission variety would be nice, and every time I see one of those [servitron] enemies I cringe at the use of such a lazy enemy design, I also wish the party size was larger across the board, but other than that, the game overall is very fun IMO.

All this talks about is the two other PVP modes, this does not say ToN is SBMM.

ok, i'll explain it to you: there are only 2 types of game modes in d2: competitive or non competitive (quickplay)....TotN has a special name, cut scenes, etc. but it's still a competitive game mode...so what does that mean? that it matches people based off skill first, then connection...

...but let me guess, since bungie didnt list out specifically all the games that were affected by which mm, you still not gonna believe it cause it would mean you were incorrect, right?....

Trials has always been balanced separately. Last year it was based off wins while the crucible had Sbmm. This year so far it's strictly connection. I've played almost 50 games of trials and faced people who were complete trash to good teams and teams that were no where near the amount of wins that I had.

while making the game more casual for the players, bungie also made the game more casual for themselves when it comes to balancing....i say that to say: trials is not balanced the same as it was in d1....it's apart of the whole now, not separate.....hence the reason it doesnt have level advantages....

who you match is based off the host and their stats, not the team's skill level as a whole...so while you mightve thought the teams were trash to good, all the system went off of was what the host's stats said....

you right, no reason to go back and forth about what's been presented by bungie...just cause you dont like/agree with it, doesnt change it is what it is....

yea, in d1 bungie balanced it separately, but this aint d1...that's what yall are ignoring...this is d2...bungie has shown they are trying to make all the game modes more inclusive to everyone, including trials....it's apart of the whole now, hence the reason there are no level advantages anymore...so it's gonna be balanced right along with the rest of crucible...

the game mode that might get it's own balancing is iron banner...and that's if they turn level advantages on for it, which it seems they will.....

to get back to talking about the game:

new monarchy weapons and armor are so pretty.....the color schemes and designs are nice as shyt.....that submachine gun and shotty have potential to do some things....will run around with them to find out....

next up is my titan with fwc....will get tokens and see what they working with...

pointing out 1 game doesnt mean that's not how it works the majority of the time....nothing in this game is gonna work 100% correctly all the time.....also, mm with trials is supposed to be about where you are on your card too....

anyway, although i havent played, i've seen a lot of trials being played...i watch streams while at work, hence me saying what lumi and others have said about the matches they have....taking them out the equation, bungie themselves said how the mm works for the crucible...trials is comp game, so for the most part, it will mm according to those rules (along with card position)...

they still got the same mix of game modes....i know rumble is gone (and maybe rift), but the rest are there, and they still fun....

all the games i've run so far have been solo, and for the most part i've had a ball...it annoyed me at first that i kept getting matched up with 2+ people from the same clan, but after awhile i said fukk it and accepted this is what bungie was going for...they want people to clan up, play together....so more than likely i'm gonna run into teams made of clan mates...

them lowering the number of people in the match and making the maps larger may make it seem like the intensity has lowered, but overall it hasnt....most are learning the maps now, and it's getting to the point that teams are finding a spot on the map to meet up and just go at it....ex: there's a map on titan where teams are just meeting up in the hallway and having shootouts...shyt is fun as hell cause the action goes down...

that's the thing though: these matches are only as sweaty as you make them....the same goes for d1....if you want them to be sweaty, they will be...if you dont, they wont....

to me, yea, i'd say you're wrong in your assessment....it's clear staying/working together is what bungie was going for, but you dont have to....you can still run and gun.....the thing is if you run off by yourself, you'll likely run into 2+....also, it depends on what game you running...if you doing a game like countdown, it's better to stay together....but if you doing supremacy or clash, go get it in by yourself if you like....

...besides it being 4v4 and a lil more gun based, overall the shyt plays like a more balanced d1 crucible to me....and you get in where you fit in....to judge for yourself, all i can say is play it....

they actually got 5: clash, supremacy, control, countdown, and survival....6, if you count trials......which is more than the base game of destiny 1, which only had 4: clash, control, skirmish, and rumble....all the other modes like supremacy, salvage, elimination, inferno, trials, etc. were limited timed special events and/or got added in later....

you right, i'm not, and i dont pretend to be....i just give my opinions on the game, just like you...are you on the payroll of the people that wanna just bash the game?....

I would love an extra ps4 player but in all due honesty, the Xbox brehs seem like they starving, no disrespect
