It’s not just about “slacking” tho. The issue is people change.

When a man has a desire for other women, or when he just gets tired of his housewife, what do ppl say? The wife has to fight for the marriage. Which means putting up with neglect, possible financial, emotional and physical abuse, etc. To fight to keep a union that the man (who is the sole provider) has decided that he’s done with.

It’s about security and dignity.

I mean, sounds wonderful but there are plenty of women and kids tossed aside, in shelters, getting cheated on and ppl telling them to accept it, etc. This has been happening for millennia. That’s WHY there was a push for women to be able to get an education, but property, have careers, etc. Because society as a whole generally values women during our youth/childbearing and child rearing years. You aren’t being real if you don’t see that in society/the world. Lol
