:whew: And to think that the Cav's were considering trading Andy Varejao for Ridnour and Williams.

Derrick Williams' agent, Rob Pelinka, has not formally requested a trade for his client, but he has asked the Minnesota Timberwovles about the possibility of parting ways due to lack of playing time, according to a team source.

The Timberwolves, however, let Pelinka know that they will first wait to see how Williams and Ricky Rubio mesh on the court once Rubio returns from a torn ACL.

"We told him to wait for our team to come together," the source said. "Wait for Derrick to play with Ricky (Rubio). When they played together last year, Williams benefited greatly."

Williams, the No. 2 pick in 2011 NBA Draft, is averaging nine points in just 19.9 minutes per game this season, when he has sat three times because of coach Rick Adelman's decision.

It is most likely that Rubio will return for a home game on Dec. 15 against the Dallas Mavericks.
:leon: Even though he hasn't looked that good with the Wolves, he did show shines of why he was the #2 draft pick, but he will never be able to play the 4 with K-Love, but I can see him breaking out on another team though.

so you're faulting the team for taking the 2nd player in a 2 person draft after they shopped that pick that entire time?

Here we go again with this bullshyt.

Who else is to fault? THEY drafted him. :dwillhuh:

Rubio, when he comes back, can make him look a little better than he actually is though.

Dude can't play the 4 I been saying this before the draft.

I told tre they needed kanter

:what: that's where he's been playing. Being a PF isn't his issue. I've been saying to anyone with a brain that he's a PF and nothing else.

Kanter was gonna do what? Don't you get it? If we had Kanter he woulda been in the same situation D-Will's in now. Kanter right now can't get PT because of better bigs ahead of him. What would have changed if he were here.

Who else is to fault? THEY drafted him. :dwillhuh:

But again, when people say "hey take BPA, take BPA," this is what can happen when you do that. Nobody's to blame over this. If this were a case of him not being good, that's another story, but that's not the situation, but it would be like saying Ryan Mallett sucks because he'll never get to play as long as Tom Brady's there or Chase Daniel's a bust because Drew Brees is blocking him. Really D-Will's just more blocked than anything, and playing everyone together hurts primarily because of what Love can't do. It's about fit.

In Dallas, From Cleveland
:snoop: at me thinking the Cavs should have taken Derrick Williams & Kemba Walker instead of Kyrie Irving and Tristan Thompson...

It was mainly because I never got to see Kyrie play and I thought Dwill would be the truth...

I still think he will be soild tho, He seems like he may be a late bloomer. I can see him going to another team and being much better

Then they should have drafted a better fit. It's simple, when you're the one calling the shots, you don't get to skate off of a bad decision based on "Well, I'm sure everybody else would have done the same." Drafting BPA is the solution when your team doesn't have any holes.

When something goes wrong, SOMEBODY has to take the blame.
