This is what happens when you have an unnecessary 82 game season. Players have absolutely no time to rest up and heal and they're forced to risk injury in meaningless exhibitions games.

And now one of the league's brightest and most marketable stars is in all likelihood finished. This is gonna be TWO of his prime years wasted now and god knows what kinda of player he's gonna be when he's ready to return. The difference with Penny is he came back TOO soon, trying to prove to critics and fans that he could play through injuries and was all in for the team, and it cost him a HOF career. Rose as yall saw still had his explosion, but was rusty. This will be the same deal. He'll have his explosion, but even more rust. Rose needs to start playing those pickup games in the summer instead of just doing drills to alleviate that rust. Also, I don't know what the deal is with his J. I'm sure he hits those set shots with someone passing him the ball, but he needs to do work on game situation drills extensively.
