having moved from LA to NYC the only difference is people in NYC are real. Over here they sugarcoat shyt and try to be cute while in NYC they tell you what you dont want to hear but its the truth. Never thought id not return to LA but NYC making it hard
Yeah here in LA they do sugarcoat/co-sign sh*t alot but that's only to see if whatever you got goin' is going to pop off or not and if they can get in with you.. I've been to NY several times and got people out there and yeah they don't sugarcoat sh*t but at the same time I noticed some hater sh*t mixed in as well. Like "how you gonna do something productive and I can't do it type sh*t:what:"

I ain't mad breh, :manny: You're obviously an advocate of living in SLC, personally you'd have to pay me good money to live there, but who am I to argue? :yeshrug:

Naw..I just really wish those places attracted more black people. A change of scenery isn't bad..I used to be close minded until I actually visited these places for myself. I've been fortunate in that aspect. I felt more uncomfortable in New Mexico and Oklahoma City than SLC...I could feel the tension in the air walking around in those places. The aversion to blackness was real out there. In SLC and other parts of Utah, more of a curiosity at first then a very warm embrace with questions about me. New Mexico I really felt for my safety(mexicans) and stuck towards the hotels.

Whatever dude. Because I'm speaking on having accessibility to elements of our culture outside the home you fronted as if it's not exhibited in it. My son is half Nigerian and African American. I love the fact I can take him to the Schomberg library to access black literature or to the Met where he can see the art work of my hometown. Or that I can find a soul food restaurant in city and a Nigerian restaurant in BK. You can't get that in SLC, so you decide to tear down the benefits SLC obviously doesn't have

Just got back from Mexico, was all over, and it was all love :yeshrug: I think everybody has different experiences, and not everybody is a fit everywhere. Most NBA players would KILL to live in MIA, but look at Lebron, he had all the money in the world, was a star in Miami, won two championships, and still decided to move back to Cleveland. :yeshrug: That's why the world is a beautiful place, because we all don't like the same sh*t....

SLC though? :mjlol:

Miami is a shythole though and the black community down there is not the same as Cleveland. I wouldn't live in Miami with a young family either.

Salt Lake City seems so much safer and cleaner than most other cities in America, I wonder why.

Mmmm Pembroke Pines and parts of North Miami and North Miami Beach are nice and have a lot of well to do black families. But I think Lebron thought he was gonna be King Jaffa Joe in Miami, but he was just another celebrity :manny: Miami games be empty as f*ck sometimes, they won the championship and Liv was empty as f*ck, people showin' up at halftime and sh*t :heh: In Cleveland Lebron probably gets offered blowjobs comin' out the bathroom at a club :heh:, a town like Cleveland will feed the f*ck out of Lebron's ego, that's probably why he went back.

I honestly don't think that's it. It's a shytty city breh. Miami is one of the worst cities for black americans. I really don't understand the love affair for cities that are racially segregated and definitely are anti-black. Forget his ego. I'm sure his wife liked being able to go into black stores or any stores and get a decent level of respect instead of some Cuban a$$hole automatically looking down on her and her boys factored heavily in their decision.

If you want your kids to be lame.

Have you ever been there? It's boring as hell and there's like 7 black people.

Salt Lake City also has a surprisingly small population and the city is so small you can walk from one end to the other in a few hours.

There's barely any night life there, either. Everybody is mormon, the women are mostly terrible.

Basically, I found nothing redeeming about Salt Lake City besides the scenery--it's pretty.

But maybe I'm biased cuz I'm from the big city.
My job sent me out there for training, some of the worst looking women I've ever seen en masse.
