Derek Carr named Raiders starting QB

unless its dynasty I wouldnt draft carr in fantasy.

I took a flyer out on him for $1 in a 12 team league where I have 9 bench spots. I literally got my quarterbacks Dalton, Alex Smith and Derek Carr for a total of $5 of my $200 auction budget.

The way he played against Seattle's 1st team defense, he's worth a flyer. You never know, especially the way Rookie Qbs are jumping in the game (look at Rg3's first season, Cam's first season fantasy wise, Luck, etc), etc. I prefer to build my team around stud RBs, WR and an elite tight end while getting a QB for cheap.

do you start two qbs ? in a twelve teamer Id be hesitant to draft alex smith either tbh if you start 1 qb.

I'll probably end up dropping Alex Smith or Carr depending on what happens over the first few weeks.....When you draft QBs at the end of the auction it pays to have a few just to make sure you got the right one.

If my memory serves me didn't Ben come in after Tommy Madux got hurt. And didn't eli backup Kurt Warner at the beginning of his rookie season.


To me I actually think Cam Newton has a lot to do with this. But more so the rule changes in favor of qb's. But Cam game in and put big numbers for a guy who didn't play in a "prostyle" offense in college. He wasn't suppose to do well and he came out the gate crushing.

I mean rookie qb's been starting for ever but most just sucked the first year ex: David Carr. Matt Ryan played well for sure but at least he played in a prostyle offense at boston college.

After cam I think we started to expect qb's. But I think its the rules changes more than a person imo.

I see the raiders like to give garbage white QBs millions of dollars for holding a clip board (shaub and Flynn). But won't give Terrel Pryor a whole year at QB before benching him. Ain't that some shyt.

Every fukking day Schaub needs to thank being Vicks backup. If it wasn't for him being Vicks backup that b*stard would have never made all this money.
