1) so what? Who else was he supposed to fight?

2) wilder is as big a draw u gone get out the American public

He could have fought AJ, the Fury fight not happening wasn't his fault though, Breazeale was a mandatory but undisputed would have been able to delay it if he took it. Now if he fights Ortiz then Kownacki that's certainly his fault, neither are mandatory and would be his decision, he's already beaten Ortiz fairly recently by knock out, there's no need to fight him again and he should destroy Kownacki. He should be fighting AJ next, but even aside from that there's other fights for him, Whyte has been ranked number 1 for ages and deserves his shot too.

And not really, Canelo is a much bigger draw than Wilder.

Everybody with internet saw that KO :manny:. Almost nobody tuned in for Brazile. People want to see Wilder fight somebody with champion blood, they knew this would be a walk in the park. Heavyweight fights just aren't must see TV anymore. When/if he fights AJ, it will do huge numbers.

Exactly, people want to see champion vs champion, AJ vs Wilder will do big numbers, on whatever platform.

Lot of excuses in here. I guess we gotta see AJ numbers against a bum in the U.S to gauge
If AJ does better numbers on DAZN against that bum not sure how ppl going spin it

He's already sold more tickets apparently and the prices are 3 or 4 times higher.

Canelo isnt getting 10 million views and has NEVER, EVER been close to getting the mainstream attention of Wilder over the last 7 days. Not even when he got popped for cheating last year.

:mjlol: at 990k views on Showtime (where Wilder only fought for 120 seconds) being terrible... No surprise the guy in the video isn't from America, because he has no fukking clue how the American market works when it comes to boxing.
Post another fighter that getting more views on Showtime than Wilder.. I'll wait

10 million views? Wilder didn't even do a million views on non PPV, Canelo's last 3 PPV's have all done over a million buys. He's been on PPV like 9 times and Wilder has been on PPV once.

:mjlol:
990k is basically a million.. which he would've easily surpassed had the fight lasted past 120 seconds.
And the fight was competing with Game 3 of the NBA’s Western Conference finals which averaged 7,247,000 viewers, the second-highest viewership ESPN ever has attracted for an NBA conference final game.
Canelo only did around 600k in his last fight which was a unification.. Where was the Canelo Terrible viewing figures thread???

It shouldn't matter how long the fight lasts, if you're going to watch it you watch it from the beginning, if you're that invested you watch it from the start (I did, I was waiting for it all night, saw everything). Terrible viewing figures was the title of the video posted. And Canelo's last 3 PPV's all did over a million buys, this wasn't even on PPV and didn't even do a million.

Where? In America dazn has about 400k paying subscribers.
Two people can use one profile at a time (or more).
I I think the fight was said to been viewed by 600k

His last 3 PPV's, DAZN isn't a PPV model.

The numbers are here...

Canelo Álvarez - Wikipedia

Overall this is what Canelo has generated just from PPV's so far..

Totals (approximate): 8,075,000 buys and $605,000,000 in revenue.

He is also 28, Wilder is 33.

Wilder has generated nowhere near that.

:mjlol: you sound like an idiot breh.. you dont understand how viewership works.. Theres peaks and Valleys.. During the fight the longet it lasts the viewership is giving time to grow and peak out at a certain number.. This fight wasn't given the opportunity thanks to it being over in 2minutes...
What does Canelo have to do with the subject.. Canelo the biggest cash cow in boxing

For reference, Canelo has fought for years on PPV. He sold 300k PPVs against scrub level opponents like Liam smith. Whats wilder doing again? Getting 10million free views on twitter . . .. :mjlol:

Canelo has a huge loyal fanbase who turns out. Unfortunately Wilder doesnt, and most likely wont if he keeps ducking
