what a dumbass, that move was piff and one of my faves of all times. Without hesitation I would watch that movie any day of the week
One of the greatest films ever made. Morgan Freeman's role and the way he brought the character to life, his seasoning on the job, was classic.

Everything happens for Reasons. Brad Pitt and Morgan worked better as the "Young Cop" and "Seasoned Vet" Dynamic. And I'm sorry whoever said "Fight Club > Se7en" is way wrong. Yes "Fight Club" is a cult Classic but "Se7en" has WAY more replay value, it's not even close:

I saw "Se7en" on the Big Screen in 95, I was 15 and it's aged like Fine Wine. You can't name 10 Suspense Thriller in the last 20 years f*ckin with "Se7en".

I fukking love Seven but Fight Club is better to me and has better replay value and i love its anti-materialistic message.

The ending was parodied numerous of times before I got a chance to see it :birdman:
Wish I could've seen it in the theater for the first time before the media felt the need to spoil it

Even though I knew the ending, I watched it on bluray countless times and it is indeed a modern day classic.
I can't see Denzel playing Brad's character either.

I left the theater traumatized. I couldn't stop thinking, "OMG, I know damn well what is in that box". Morgan's acting really sold it too. It was the craziest ending. Kevin Spacey was in the movie for 5 minutes but his performance was so amazing. Rumors are the screenwriter who wrote it was told to change the ending by the studio but when courting David Fincher they accidentally sent his original screenplay draft with the "Box" ending and Ficher fought tooth and nail to keep it or he was going to leave the project. They kept it and the rest is history.

:noah:
Easily Fincher's best film

I think it was mentioned on one of the commentaries about the ending.

Pitt said he would leave if they didn't keep the ending too

Morgan Freeman killed that role though. I honestly don't think Denzel would have been a good fit. Freeman's character was suppose to be an older wiser detective type, and the Pitt character was suppose to be this new guy.

Denzel and Brad I think are about the same age.

Seven was a great movie, mannnn they don't make movies like anymore. Feeling :oldandflabby:

People really sleep on Fincsher, he has a gift for conveying "fear from anticipation" on screen.

Also I saw "Alien 3" which is David's 1st movie on the Big screen, I was 12. I actually liked the "1 Alien" approach cause it took it back to the original. It made the movie more suspenseful. It's just "Alien and Aliens" are so Classic it completely overshadowed it. But I did enjoy the movie but I'd must admit, I was really young when I saw it and I can understand Alien fans hating it but looking back it wasn't that bad of a movie and the ending with Ripley falling was the perfect way to end the franchise (Until Joss Weadon wrote that terrible Alien Resurrection sequel), lol:

Turn down seven but star in safe house brehs.

He turned down "Se7en" but shot these 3 movies and you know what I liked all 3 even "Virtuosity" even though at the time people said it was terrible. It had Denzel and a young Russell Crowe before he blew up. It's crazy that Denzel dropped 3 movies in 95 and I watched all 3 on the Big Screen back then:
