He didn't REALLY mean he would do any of those things. He won't REALLY close down the dept of Education. He won't REALLY deport all those people. Right? A bunch of smart dumb nikkas will still be saying both sides as their people lose access to health insurance, lose access to education, watch any hope for reparations go up in smoke. As police forces across the country get the green light to start reinstating stop and frisk. Both sides.

The "both sides are the same script" was fed to young Black men to discourage them from voting. If "both sides are the same, then why vote?" was the propaganda fed to them.
Catered specifically to young impressionable dudes without older Black men in their lives.

The difference between that campaign tactic, and what Malcolm was saying is that once Malcolm split from the NOI, he was actively trying to get Black people politically evolved, and engaged.

At the launch of that organization in June 1964, he spoke publicly about educating Black people about the political process so they could make informed decisions about individual candidates moving forward. The 8th stated objective on the flyer for his new organization points this.
