I always thought that Denzel would take the shag Afro look to play Pee Wee Kirkland
reflecting back on his wild life.

Saw it and Denzel put on another amazing performance. This was a totally different Denzel none of his familiar mannerisms, even his voice was different. He didn’t yell either. He had a crying scene that was .

He plays a savant lawyer on the spectrum that was 100% for the struggle of the poor. He got paid $500wk and stayed in an office making cases for a trial lawyer. Lawyer dies and Denzel character has to come out the shadows to make a living. fukkery ensues and it ain’t all good.

I enjoyed this. Denzel went outside the box, and really carried it. Colin Farrell was also really good.

Same way I felt.

Denzel's performance was top notch and the rest of the cast was solid, but the second half of the movie was a total catastrophe. I'm not really critical when it comes to films, I pretty much enjoy everything I go out to watch. But this movie borderline pissed me off when it was over. The first 20 minutes or so I was really invested in the story and the characters, and then the wheels came off.
