I really forgot after all these years how wild Rodman was, he was like the entertainment in that 3peat run. And his hair......yo, its like you wanted to be tuned in to see what madness he was coming with in his hair.

Dennis says he never spoke to MJ off court

“I didn’t think it was important. I thought it was important for me to go there and win… I don’t have to have a job to speak to people. My job is to correlate and understand how people work and do one thing and make people believe the fact that you belong there. You know, talking to people will come. Relating to people will come. If they see you performing and doing your job and being with the group, that’s all I want… Me and Scottie and Michael [Jordan] never had a conversation in three years in Chicago. Only time we had a conversation was on the court."

Also this:

“Did you really get your scrotum pierced?”

Rodman: “Mmm hmm… I’ll tell you. You wanna know, I’ll tell you… Once you’ve had so much pain in your life, you put pain in your body… I went through a pain-driven year. And the more pain I got, the more driven I got.”

''In the last game of the regular season,'' recalled Antonio Davis, the Pacers forward who is often guarded by Rodman, ''we got tangled up. He held my hand up over my head, and then he started to waltz with me! I couldn't believe it. At first I thought it was funny. And then I thought, 'He's mocking me!' And I got mad. Suddenly I was thinking about him, and not my game anymore. He can do that. He's smart; he'll try everything he can to throw you off. But I was prepared for him this series. I've just tried to ignore him.''

This is not easy to do. In the N.B.A. finals against Seattle two years ago, Frank Brickowski of the SuperSonics, sick of Rodman's physical tactics in the game and aware of such publicity stunts as the one in which Rodman married himself in a wedding dress, called Rodman a name that was meant to question his manhood.

Rodman smiled. ''You've got nice-looking legs,'' he said to Brickowski. ''Would you like to go out with me after the game?'' Brickowski exploded, as did his game.

One of Rodman's favorite targets is Alonzo Mourning, the Miami Heat center. Mourning has also questioned Rodman's off-the-court preferences -- although he might not have read Rodman's book about his love affair with Madonna -- and Rodman knows this. When Mourning makes a nice play against the Bulls, Rodman will pat him on the backside. It makes Mourning uncomfortable. When there is a loose ball, Rodman might stay atop Mourning for an extra beat or two, making Mourning seethe.

''Mourning tries to contain himself,'' said Steve Kerr, a Bulls guard, smiling at the thought. ''And he doesn't say anything. But you see it building and building, and finally he erupts.'' In one game, Mourning was soon whistled for two technical fouls in quick succession and was removed from the game.

''Guys suddenly forget their set patterns, they're out of position, the coaches are screaming at them but they don't hear -- they got Dennis on the mind,'' said Isiah Thomas, a teammate of Rodman's with the Pistons. ''Dennis knows there's this homophobia among a lot of players in the league. So he uses that and everything else he can. It's amazing how many guys fall for it.''

Also did anyone see that NBA Open Court episode "Mailman and The Worm"? Kerr basically said that at one point in either the '96 or '97 Rodman became really disconnected. So PJax suggested to Steve that he and Jud Buechler be the guys to take Rodman (and 15 of Rodman's friends) for a night out on Atlantic City :heh::pachaha:

So they do it :mjlol:

Steve says they get back at like 4 in the morning in a big ass Howard Stern party bus and they're all hungover and whatever. And Dennis says, "Well that was fun guys. Have fun at practice today." Turns out starters got the day off and there was a morning practice for the second unit. Could totally see Dennis with the :troll: while doing all of this :russ: but just like that, Dennis was right back on track for the rest of that year

Couldn't find the video on YouTube or NBA.com but I got links of tidbits of the whole story

Honestly, Rodman probably played harder than anyone I've seen live. He made up for his offensive decencies with just pure fukking hustle.

His offensive deficiencies was an act,.......tho.
That is what made him unique.
In Chicago, you could say he solidified a character.
Then, in carni fashion played that character and never broke character.
Unless he had to be the hero, or use his brand of hero ball for entertainment and team morale.
That I think even his team got a kick out of the ACTUAL WORK.

With Rodman we all got worked....
Or in dennis's case,....we all got wormed.

That is awesome,......
Also back then you could have actually seen Rodman kick'n it back then.
He was like the return of the monster of the midway bears.
Where Rodman would be in the actual club district at night almost every night for real, tho.
