We really might got another one with this brehs
i hate that argument, its one of the legit worst things ive seen in the film room. since when did we start judging movies by random scripts that were never meant to be seen by the audience in the first place. anyone bringing that up gets the auto cambySorry that Christopher Nolan's vision for his own film differed from the script his brother wrote in '08. Stop reading random scripts like a fukkin nerd and maybe you'll be less disappointed when a director's vision is different from a first version of a script
It really is a terrible argument. Why would you read an early script and then expect the movie to be an exact replica of a paper script? There are things and ideas that work on paper but not on film. And of course someone of Nolan's caliber will change a few things.i hate that argument, its one of the legit worst things ive seen in the film room. since when did we start judging movies by random scripts that were never meant to be seen by the audience in the first place. anyone bringing that up gets the auto camby
Nolan put his foot in the ass of that movie, like he does every project

That isn't the main theme of the movie. Just because Brand said that stuff about love makes her right? Cooper himself said that might make her wrong. Before cooper leaves earth he's sitting on his porch and he says, "what cause heading out there is something I feel like I was born to do? That it excites me? Doesn't make it wrong.." and his dad says, "it might.." and he also says "don't trust the right thing done for the wrong reason, the why of the thing, that's the foundation" and cooper tells him the foundation is solid, it was a clear parallel to that early scene, it wasn't the entire theme of the film
He butchered an epic sci-fi screenplay..and turned the theme into scientists doing questionable things with the theme "love transcends time and space"
Nolan got yall nikkas lookin like crackheads

You just said the theme was love transcending time and space, now it's just love? I never said love wasn't a theme of the film, just that love transcending time and space wasn't the main theme. I think the main theme is the connection between humans allows us to do the impossible sometimes, you can hear this with tars telling coop it wasn't possible during the docking sequence and cooper telling him it was necessary and matt Damon talks about it as well. Cooper's connection with his children drove him on this insane mission into space on the possibility that it will save his children (and Earth)The theme was "love"...plain and simple..Brand was drawn to her astronaut lover...Cooper was drawn to his daughter....it just happened to be in outer space......lol

The connection between cooper and his daughter and them reuniting in the end made the entire film. People were crying in the theater. I just think that specific statement brand said about love transcending time and space wasn't cosigned by any other character and cooper said she might be wrong about that. I wasn't trying to act like love and human connection wasn't a huge theme of the movie.Bruh...you are making my point....the film was driven by human connection....they could have been on a boat on the sea and we would have gotten the same effect...the og sript was all scfi not that human connection bullshyt
