Impeachment doesn't mean the president steps down BTW. The media is complicit in not actually educating people on how their government works.

Impeachment just gets it on the record that the president is violating norms and rules and shows that elected officials don't support the actions he's taking.

When done to someone who has shame and dignity, they try their best to avoid Impeachment because they dont want their legacy tarnished. This might include stepping away from the office. If Nixon was president in today's age he would have told the reporters to kiss his ass and kept it pushing even after being exposed. His base would've loved that shyt and be would've become more popular. But because he had some dignity(aka being a p*ssy by today's standards) he stepped down.

Establishment democrats need to be destroyed so that an actual opposition who gives a shyt about their constituents and the country can propose an actually inspiring vision for what this country should be and propose voter approved policies that will improve the lives of everyone who isn't making 6 figures or more. They've been doing what's in bold. However, stalling tactics only go so far. They recently held the Senate floor for over 30 hours to slow down a nomination, and it didn't change the outcome. The GOP has spent 50 years setting this up, so what's a few more hours or days to them? That doesn't mean they shouldn't continue to do it, but I'm just saying.

The GOP controls all three branches of the Federal Government, and they have a lot of state governors and attorney generals backing them up. The problem is that the damage is being done largely through the Executive. He has the broad authority over federal agencies, regulations, and enforcement priorities to reshape the federal government and to redirect resources to fit his agenda. This is all possible without needing new legislation. A compliant Congress and Judiciary only make this easier. The only real check on Trump at this point is members of his own party deciding to push back. And for lawsuits to be filed in the face of his actual illegal executive overreach (funding freezes, birthright ban, etc) For the next two years, this is the reality we're dealing with.

That said, you're absolutely right that they should be using new media and raising awareness. They should also be traveling around their states, especially in areas where his policies are causing the most harm, to make sure people understand what's happening and what's at stake.

Yeah all 3 branches is a death knell. I get it. I am no fan of this iteration of democrats because they have no fight, overly concered with perception/procedure, push things on the fringe we can't win on at this time, and we're not meeting voters where they are which is alternative media... but it's literally all we got.

I'm just trying to think of ways to slow down the most harmful changes Trump is making; firing and dismantling federal bureaus. If we can eek across to midterms and they're somewhat fair, I think it'll be a blue wave if democrats hit the alternative media market. Impeachments are not going to do anything to Donald Trump has already been impeached. He has no remorse, shame or anything.

I get why they are going this route because they have to do SOMETHING.
