Did the original have difficulty settings? I never played any souls game with difficulty settings

None of their souls based games had typical difficulty settings.

You can summon to make it easier with co-op at the expense of more powerful enemies.

In some games you could actually make the game harder with some having tangible benefits for doing so.

Meh, everyone knows summoning is easy mode. Even though enemies/bosses get more health they still ahve the same AI. I think it’s why so many people consider sekiro harder because they can’t secretly summon to beat enemies and claim they did it on their own.

I've never played any of them I'm just quoting what I saw on that tweet.

These trailers can't be a proper representation of the final game then, they definitely did something to the difficulty here to make everything look so easy. Gonna be a lot of buyer's remorse once us newbies get our hands on this :pachaha:

Once (if) you get git gud, you will enjoy it.

A lot of people kind of talk themselves out of getting into soulsborne games (I was that way before playing bloodborne also) because of what people say is difficult. I hate games that are artificially difficult, like spongey enemies, cheesy one hit kills, no health items. Y’all should know the game isn’t ‘hard to be hard’ it’s fair and it’s challenging. Think of it like punch out or the original mega man games. They’re not easy but the designers didn’t make the games to be difficult just for bragging rights they made fun and engaging games that required thinking and timing.

That’s dark souls yall

Not even gonna lie breh, no summoning killed the game for me even though it felt cathartic beating them bosses.

Ur right I am talking myself out of it :mjcry:

I got Bloodborne on the PS4 and failed miserably with it.

I keep hearing that once it "clicks" you'll love these games.....I'm still waiting on that click man :mjcry:

I liked the parry stuff at first but I got worn out with the lack of rpg mechanics and not having collectibles. It almost felt like boss rush mode.

My first 20-40 minutes in bloodborne was mass confusion and anxiety. I was sitting there thinking HELL NO wtf was I thinking buying this shyt?:sadcam:

I think it was after i discovered my first lamp/shortcut I realized, hold up, I’m not supposed to fight EVERY enemy?:ohhh:

I can level up?:ohhh:

I can get armor and weapon upgrades that make these enemies easier?:ohhh:

I can summon people to come help me get out of this jam? :ohhh:

This huge ass first boss is completely optional?:ohhh:

The hardest thing about these games is the fact that they just throw you in the deep in. No tutorials aside from little hints on the ground, when other games give you like 3 hour tutorials. They just expect you to adopt the rules of the game on your own. Once you know the rules it becomes manageable and fun.
