This is my favorite cartoon.

Demona was legitimately crazy though. They would've been cool had she only told Goliath the plan. Goliath would've taken the eggs and the rest of the clan away, and they would've lived on....until the next problem.

Watching the Derek Maza episode now and immediately thought of The Bird Revelation

"Thats some cold shyt"- Dave Chappelle

The Iceberg Slim story revolves around a sex worker, Slim goes to great lengths to force her, his best earner, into further years of indentured servitude. He stages a death and pins the blame on her, the guilt and shame breaking her spirit. Only her pimp can offer her salvation, and the only way to repay that debt is to keep working.

There never was a cure Derek:mjcry:

And you just got Iceberg Slimmed:sadcam:

Thats some cold shyt....

Yeah she actually told Brooklyn that she was crazy in the "Temptation" episode. I was like at least she can admit it. I think her and Goliath would have ended tragically anyway because they had two different philosophies.

And the crazy thing is? Back in the 1st episode when the trio (Brooklyn, Broadway, Lexington, and Bronx) got in trouble for fooling around, playing with human children, Goliath punished them into the underground rookery with the Gargoyle eggs and forced them to stay there until he came back attacking the Vikings. That action from Goliath to the trio and Bronx, single handily saved their lives when the attack on Castle Wyvern happened at daylight, while Demona decided to be a coward. :mindblown: and refuse to tell anyone from her clan about the plan, and she dipped right before dawn of the attack, leaving her clan to get smashed into pieces.

That all you need to know the vast difference between Goliath's and Demona's leadership styles. They would have clashed naturally at some point.

Demona was the true hero.

If you’re black and had ANY context of race relations when you were a kid it was obvious this show was one big euphemism for militants Vs c00ns.

Who was the c00n though? Goliath neever really fukked with any of the humans. He and the Captain had an understanding, and he knew that as long as he served his purpose, he had a home. His main reason for punishing the Trio was that if they got the humans riled up, they could turn on them and attack during the day.

From day 1 he never trusted Xanatos, and it was only because Demona was influencing him to trust hm. It took him a while to warm up to Elisa. King Arthur, the Mazas, and the humans associated with the Japanese Clan were the only humans trusted...oh and Matt, on he strength of Elisa. Hudson only fukks with Robbins, Lex with Alex, Brooklyn ain't cool with hardly anyone.

I think Demona being mentored by the Archmage is the reason she turned out that way. He was manipulative and lonely, and she took on both of those traits.

I was under the impression that there were MANY Gargoyles before the betrayal.

So why would the Gargoyles need a “home” (in which they were subject to prejudice, hatred, and abuse) if they could have just went to war with the humans and killed them? Goliath as their leader could have led the Gargoyles to war. Goliath also NEVER killed Xanatos. Why not? Simply not “fukking” with him didn’t solve a damn thing.

Again Demona had the right idea, kill them and they won’t have to deal with the bullshyt. But time and again Goliath was on some “All Lives Matter” shyt, even amongst the ones he didn’t “fukk with”. Makes ZERO sense.

There used to be hundreds of Gargoyles in Goliath's original clan, but there were tens of thousands of Vikings that could attack them during the day, on top of the planet being overruled by humans.

I think Demona started studying under the Archmage because she felt threatened by the Magus who worked for Princess Katherine. Katherine was prejudice against gargoyles from childhood because her Father was instilling in her that the Gargoyles were the boogie man. Hudson, who was the leader of the clan at the time, told the king that was not a good thing to tell his daughter because it would make her distrust his clan. The king said "Hudson you're being too sensitive". The archmage poisons the king, the prejudice princess blamed Hudson for not protecting her dad, Hudson ends up losing his eye after a fight with the mage over the antidote, the castle Magus is given the antidote and all the glory for saving the king when it was really Hudson, young Goliath and Demona

Even later on, when Demona was older on some Kill all humans, she was still living on the run. They were fighting during the night, also eating, hunting, then always had to find a safe place to sleep because they were so vulnerable during the day. And they're aren't indestructible. They also couldn't get too far away from the battle, or else they would lose fighting time. So a sleeping place not too far from their enemies, with food accessibility, but well hidden to provide cover, and allow for a quick escape when need be.

With the castle, they knew that as long as they were valuable in protecting it, the humans would protect them during the day - needing them for the battles. But thy also kept secrets. Not many knew about the rookery.

As for the Xanatos answer - they both said why they kept each other alive. Xanatos did allow for some resources they would need in modern times. He wasn't on no All-Lives-Matter BS. He was on Gargoyles Lives Matter - the Clan's survival. Demona didn't fukk with anyone but herself. Their main clash was always what did it mean to have a clan.

Guess I'll run through the series again. My last run was like Sept-Oct
