This whole thread is like a low-key statistics lesson.
Expecting a huge NBA ratings boost as soon as the next legitimate white superstar since Larry Bird emerges.
When the fukk is that going to be? I can't think of a White American who came up in my lifetime who even looked like he might be the next legit White superstar.
I mean, you have Dirk, and I guess Nash, but they ain't Americans so they never seemed to get that same big rabid fanbase love that Bird got. Stockton was the last American, but he came up 30 years ago and his game was boring as fukk.
I just looked it up - full list of White ballers who have averaged 25ppg in a season since 1992:
1. Dirk
2. .....
Last guys before Dirk were Chris Mullin in 1989-1992 and Tom Chambers in 1989-1990. And I remember them as borderline superstars, not really legit superstars.
