This went so hard as a theme.

The way they used The Touch" in that movie was great as well
Also always enjoyed watching Brawn catch that shot from Starscream/Megatron.

But the rest of the Autobots getting got on the ship

Just peeped the GI Joe thread and the ish got me nostalgic in my :flabbynsick: age. Reminsicing about those old days when cartoon series were just used as a vehicle to pump out toy products but we didn't know that back then.... back then it was just a time where your imagination ran wild with adventure.... :ahh:Besides G.I. Joe here were my two favs.... folks contribute to the thread amd keep it going...

When these dropped your boy stayed copping all the action figures and accesories that went with them...... fun innocent times... :to:

Man, I don't even know if I ever really liked Centurions, but I wanted to see that shyt every time it came on just to see what version of the suits they would wear that episode. Always hated when it was one where they end up having some real tiny shyt on. And MASK was one of my absolute favorites. Still remember all the words to the theme song and the roots were amazing.

real 80s babies recognized them old obscure cartoons

like the jawn where buddy turns into a red car….

I forgot the name of that one but used to love it

Also C.O.P.S. and Brave Star
C.O.P.S. had some dope ass toys. I remember they were way ahead of the game when it came to articulation. And they're leader was black so I was all in. Think dude name was Bulletproof.

I want to go back and watch an original broadcast of one of these shows so i could see where the ads for the accompanying toys was placed. Cause you were always hit with that rush of dopemine when watching the show and then being given the chance to "continue the high" by just buying this here action figure set........ marketing and capitalism ain't shyt... :russ:

The boom of cartoons in the 80's was exactly because of that. The deregulation of tv advertising by the Reagan administration allowed for those 30 minute cartoons as advertisements of the toys along with the commercials in between to give us full blown storylines to run with when we went and got all that shyt. Them after school and Saturday morning cartoons was the earliest stage of propaganda advertising, and we loved every minute of it:russ:

... And still do:lolbron:

My dad got me the Max Ray Centurion figure and we were in the elevator heading up to the crib. He told me to wait until we get inside to open it but I couldn't. I started putting all the gear on him and as soon as the elevator door opened I dropped the missile that shoots out. It fell right into the crack and dropped down the elevator shaft:damn:

The universe taught me a valuable lesson that day:wow:
