Just peeped the GI Joe thread and the ish got me nostalgic in myage. Reminsicing about those old days when cartoon series were just used as a vehicle to pump out toy products but we didn't know that back then.... back then it was just a time where your imagination ran wild with adventure....
Besides G.I. Joe here were my two favs.... folks contribute to the thread amd keep it going...
When these dropped your boy stayed copping all the action figures and accesories that went with them...... fun innocent times...![]()

The boom of cartoons in the 80's was exactly because of that. The deregulation of tv advertising by the Reagan administration allowed for those 30 minute cartoons as advertisements of the toys along with the commercials in between to give us full blown storylines to run with when we went and got all that shyt. Them after school and Saturday morning cartoons was the earliest stage of propaganda advertising, and we loved every minute of itI want to go back and watch an original broadcast of one of these shows so i could see where the ads for the accompanying toys was placed. Cause you were always hit with that rush of dopemine when watching the show and then being given the chance to "continue the high" by just buying this here action figure set........ marketing and capitalism ain't shyt...![]()
