No doubt they tried to find a way to get rid of her. Folk may not care but we will all get to that point where we are near or over retirement age and your company wants you gone. You don't even have to be old, they can just want to get rid of you but not have any reason yet....they just sit back and wait and when they see an opportunity they do it.
I have no idea how she making that kinda money though. No wonder they tried to get rid of her and no wonder she's suing.
She won't enjoy it,. Working keep people alive. She'll pass away in 5 months tops.Of course they wanted her outta there.
fukk it, njoy ya retirement. That 401K shud be loaded.
Yep. That's how the game goes. They want a return on their investment when it comes to old workers who get paid. And then they don't want to invest ish in the younger workers they're trying to hustle. Old ppl get the boot after 30+ yrs of top notch service(becuase let's be real, they wouldn't have survived 30+ yrs being crappy employees) and the new employees get over worked and paid less.
My aunt worked as a manager at an old peoples' home, she said a lot of folks' health SERIOUSLY degraded the moment they retired. Like, just took a downward trajectory towards a home in just the first few years. You're fine if you have passionate hobbies or some sort of mission in life, but if your work is all you got, when you lose that you don't have much to live for anymore.
She's been working in airplanes since 1962. Imagine the things she's seen in her life. Gotta be hard to step away from.
Why not?She has no business being a flight attendant at that age
Damn I kinda feel bad for her. My mom works for Delta tho so she’s told me in the past that it’s old ass, longtime employees getting BIG ass bread plus flight benefits. They shoulda just let her retire when she was ready but it’s not like she would’ve just been stuck at an old folks home. You always keep your flight benefits if you retire from the company after a certain amount of years. Coulda been living the retired life traveling n shyt.
