Damn breh, I thought that line was dope as hell. It was some movie type stuff. Basically told him without telling him, we want to see you again so get your mind right but ain't no way you about to off yourself.
I thought that line was money too.
Anyone who has ever worked with depressed people knows that there are two things that depressed/suicidal people need to hear more than anything else.
#1) That they truly have a friend who deeply cares about them and means it.
#2) That they are a meaningful person that matters in this world.
Lebron made sure Delonte knew and believed both those things in just 8 words.
And it made all the difference in the world.

And Durant is super well-liked, Duncan is well-liked, Magic was well-liked, etc.
There's not rule that you have to be an unlikeable person to succeed.

I have always been a Delonte supporter. It was easy to be for him as a Celtics fan, but I liked him and heard a bit about his story/upbringing while he was still at Saint Joseph's. Dude is hilarious, was a good player and I always got the impression that D-West is a good-hearted person that just has a lot of problems and gets in his own head, which I always felt I could relate to (not bi-polar over here tho lol) and it made me root for him more.
I would be surprised if he got another shot in the NBA at this point, but I bet he can still contribute if hes in shape and I hope he does.
