that makes plausible sense given what the character is supposed to be.

dude looks like the mehico husband from weeds and they have vicky.

i cram to understsnd why they have not used or created a mexican cartel angle.

that threatens to take over and almost succeed in owning and extorting the wwe.

it would work,.....

They should do some Riches to Rags type storyline with Del Rio and try to get him over as a face. No cars, no fireworks, no money, no Ricardo. Have him start off by winning a few matches against some jobber heels, then build him up to an IC title run where in the process he tries to make the strap look some what relevant again. Shoot even have him come out in the Rumble at 1 and make him look credible by hanging around for a good amount of time then let him get thrown out just so he can have another humbling experience.

He could at this point and wouldn't even be missed.

He's a good wrestler, but his character is very generic and he hasn't shown much improvement in that area, plus he got that sense of entitlement even though he never really done shyt.

Also booking him to win the title at SS was an awful idea too, throw him into the middle of the hottest angle in the WWE in years, one which had the face of the franchise and the hottest commodity in a feud.

smh those edited Smackdown's made Del rio look better than what he was. By the way he was getting those edited reactions on Smackdown you would have thought the dude was gonna be the next great heel, but when he first came onto Raw, the dude was so fukking un-over. I remember that segment where HBK came out, and Del Rio had that interaction with him, and the dude got no sold and nobody cared about him. Sucks for the dude that he ain't over, he is cool, good promos, and good in-ring work, but the dude would be the most un-over wrestler currently if he doesn't have 'Cardo with him.
