Plus I always thought she was overated in the first place on some "she has bars for a pretty girl" shyt. Dej is truly a unique 1 of 1 creation from the place that invented multiple sounds,styles,genres,rennessainces,geniuses. Lauryn gave you classic singles that made the album classic for you,much like what GRODT was. Multiple singles that were covers and remakes. I 100% doubt you are running that album back like that today,not any of you.

Are you giving her extra credit point for her content? Dej raps and sings about alot of things,some uplifting. Lauryn had a great voice too,but Dej is one level up. Obviously Lauryn can sing better but stylistically I'll take Dej who could authentically do multiple genres and sound incredible.

Just 2 days ago a poster said he never heard the song Nappy Headz....I let it play before posting the link in The Locker Room Random thoughts section. And I did do a Lauryn binge like 2 months ago when going thru my Spotify playlist. I let the whole album rock only to notice Spotify doesnt have the song "Can't Take My Eyes Off You." So you'd be wrong on that doubt.

Only thing I remember about that project is that she was rapping more. But your going to pick that song over the track that had a Silk The Shocker guest appearance,where Silk killed it?





I would say you are in the minority of people who listen to that entire album,most people only ever talk about or remember the singles from that album,which essentially makes Lauryn Hill a singles artist as well. Lauryns first album has sentimental value...It reminds me of my sons arrival on the planet being that it came out right before he was born. I dont think of none of that shyt you talking when I listen to that album.
