So?

This is money for the kids....he already gave her an amount they AGREED upon.

She's stealing from her own kids to benefit herself

But you condone that tho....

:wtf:

She has custody of their kids and it costs a whole lot to raise 2 kids in this economy plus shes unemployed with no job skills which deion knew before marrying her. 5k a month aint shyt.

But it's not 5K a month, it's 10K a month.

Ok, and? And far as I know, she has a college degree....so she has some sort of skills. There's thousands of people out here qualified for jobs and cant find one and dont know how they're gonna take care of their kids. Why should she be any different?

And again, it doesnt cost 10K a month to raise kids, it probably cost a 3rd of that when they were married. But she's just asking for more in addition to the amount they already agreed to for her

Singer/songwriter Ne-Yo cleared any speculation up about his first child and relationship with his mother on "Behind The Music" Sunday. Discussing the little boy he thought was his and the paternity test that unraveled what he looked at as a blessing, Ne-Yo says the entire experience "hurt."

"She just kept saying it over and over again to the point where I dropped the phone," Ne-Yo says of the day his ex called to inform him that the little boy was not his. "Chimere's not mine. That hurt because I had attached myself to this guy. This was my son. I don't know. I'm looking at him and I'm like picturing getting old and this is my son... He's not my son."

According to Ne-Yo, the relationship with Jessica White soured after the paternity test, even though he continued to see Chimere for months.

Eventually, White took him to court because he had identified himself as the father in the state of California.

"I didn't care who the father was. In my mind I was still Chimere's father. I was there when he was born. I saw him when he first came out. I held him," says Ne-Yo. "In the state of California if you put yourself out there as the father, the mother can then come after you for child support like you're the biological father. We settled out of court for what I feel like is an ungodly amount and shortly after that Jessica and Chimere vanished."

Admitting that he has not heard from Jessica since, Ne-Yo says "life goes on."

how is the bolded fair. if i make 20k a year and my wife made say 60k, why should i have to pay support at all....shouldn't SHE take care of the kids since she has the financial ability? by that logic if oprah married stedman and had a kid, he'd have to pay child support even though she's A BILLIONAIRE? fukk NO, oprah wouldn't ask for that...

The courts (or at least in New York State, I'm mostly familiar with ours) take into account the incomes of both parents but because one makes less than the other doesn't mean that you're just going to be a zero contributor. In the court's "eye" that is not fair for one able bodied person to neglect their child (financially) because on paper one brings home more than the other. Everyone who works here should know that salaries are not as cut and dry as they appear to be. In the example you used with the 20k parent vs. the 60k parent, whose to say that the individual making 20k doesn't have more saved and more assets than the 60k parent.

Ex. Mayor Bloomberg's salary is $1.00, if he and his wife were going to split does that mean that he should not have to pay child support because his wife's salary is higher than his? NO. There are other variables to consider.

You ARE right there but why is it that the courts ALWAYS side with the women...like anyone can see that these women are just trying to get some money for themselves.

just cause you WERE married to a superstar athlete that does NOT give you a license to never get off your ass and be lazy and live off your kids for the rest of your life. cause if you never met this dude what the fukk would you do?

I never understood some of this. Do they think because people get divorced the father automatically will stop taking care of his own children :wtf:

So they make them give the wife money which she will use "every cent" to make sure the children get what their father won't give them while their at his house half the damn time :beli:

I just want to make sure that we are not confusing alimony payments with child support. They are not one in the same. I do want to say that I agree with your sentiment that the mother (or any parent for that matter) should not be using any monies received from child support on things that do not involve or benefit the child(ren). However, if she never met the dude she probably wouldn't be going back and forth to court over child support because he's in arrears. These laws are not only applicable to athletes, they are for everyone. Also, because someone pays child support for THEIR CHILDREN doesn't necessarily mean that the other is lazy. Technically, they're just doing what they should be doing anyway. The only difference is that it is court ordered. I think sometimes when people see a number or dollar amount settled on for child support they are flabbergasted due to it being outlandish in terms of what they make or bring home. Honestly, Deion is getting off easy in comparison to what could have been ordered.

It is very expensive to raise a child. Hell just taking care of myself is expensive, so adding a child into the equation would just be...:sadcam:

In fact, Pilar has filed her own legal docs outlining why she needs so much cash from Deion. Among the highlights:
-- $2,000/month for a special diet for the kids
-- $900/month on uniforms and shoes for the kids' sports activities
-- $500/ month on the children's cell phones

Pilar also claims she spends $450 on haircuts for her sons and treatments for her daughter's "very thick curly hair."

Not my nikka Prime. Getting took to the cleaners is for sucka nikkas like Nas.

"special diet"???....So theyre eating filet mignon and jumbo prawns every night I guess. $900 a month on uniforms and shoes :wtb: $500 a month on cell phones??....why cant they get on Metro PCS?...$35 a month for everything unlimited. $450 on haircuts... :mindblown: how many haircuts a month are these nikkas getting. Better take them lil nikkas to the spot in the hood and get that $15-20 hookup and why cant her daughter just get some just for me hair treatment shyt? Ole uppity as nikkas
