I mean Denzel himself is looking to leave hbcu first chance he can. This is more indicative of the power of "celebrity coaches" opposed to hbcu's. What you'll see is, major schools investing money into likes of unproven celebrity coaches like deion. He interviewed for headcoach at TCU this past spring, I can see him being FSU head coach by next year. This is good for minority coaches but don't mean much for hbcu's UNTIL major money is invested in improving the infrastructure.

Why does he need to leave? He has everything he has. Deion is King at JSU, do you think he wants to answer to a bunch of racist cac boosters?

Jackson State's Deion Sanders "Impressive" in TCU Head Football Coach interview - Sports Illustrated TCU Killer Frogs News, Analysis and More

Can't speak for the guy but it seems he wants to coach at the most competitive level he can like most coaches. The majority of hbcu coaches would jump ship if they could imo. Nothing against hbcu's but PWI's provide more competition and resources than hbcu's.

Now this could probably change if the funding was there for hbcu's but it's just not as of now. It's cool for these kids to be committing to these programs but it isn't sustainable if they don't work on funding.

Now credit to prime, his Barstool sports connect pretty much funded this move but most hbcu's don't have a prime. Intesting development nonetheless. I'd love to see prime build a dynasty at Jackson but eventually I think ppl will turn on him on once the program gets too successful and jumps to a big 5.

Deion Sanders addresses TCU job, says others interested too - Sports Illustrated

Jackson State football coach Deion Sanders addressed rumors connecting him to the TCU coaching job on Monday in the Southwestern Athletic Conference's weekly head coaches' Zoom call. The Pro Football Hall of Famer also did not shy away from sharing that other schools are interested his services as well.

"Never believe rumors, especially when I’ve been in the hospital dern-near a month," Sanders said. "But trust me, TCU and several others are not the only ones interested in what we do here at Jackson State.

"They’re trying to figure out the formula. There ain’t no formula, man; it’s loving on these kids, challenging these kids, holding these kids accountable. ...that’s the secret. Not everyone has this recipe.”

Its super fukked up for you to insinuated ulterior motive around Prime being at JSU
