If the MEAC and SWAC poach enough recruits, the FBS will beg them to join. They wouldn’t be able to avoid the attention that will come with that change.
The FBS ain't begging for nobody. It's gonna be on those conferences to want to move up. Right now, a lot of teams have looked at moving up as HBCUs but none have done so since FAMU as an IND which was a bad idea. The SWAC gotta grow a pair. I am already getting sick of the admin as they aren't aggressive as they need to be.

North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
I was listening to the radio here and cacs is salty as shyt. They really hate a black man beating them at their own game. I heard one caller say that its sad that college football has become "about race" :mjlol:

Everything is about race in this country, even churches is segregated fam

sports has always been about race. First we couldn’t even compete so we had do create our own shyt. They thought we were inferior. Once they realized black players could ball, they were kissing ass and throwing money at high school athletes.

then they didn’t think we could play quarterback. Warren Moon couldn’t even start his career in the NFL. Now teams are doing RPO’s left and right, and black QB’s are getting drafted at an historic pace.

But they are insinuating, NIL is the only reason breh went to Jackson St. And at the same time, dropping hints that Prime should eventually or will eventually leave. So things can go back to the status quo.

A lot is sneak dissing and shytting on Jackson St, like they have nothing to offer.

If BET was still Black Owned it would be a no brainer. Not sure if TVOne is majority owned by Cathy Hughes/Radio One but it would make sense.

TVONEis still majority owned by Cathy Huges/Radio One. But they had to go into massive debt to buy back part of their ownership in TVone. How it worked if I remember correctly was to get on DirectTV when the network first started the requirement was that they would need to sell 50% of the network to DirectTV. TVone agreed and then after getting established they took out a loan for hundreds of millions of dollars to buy back their 50% from directTV.

The problem with that is they had to cut all of their programing, TVone movie budget and TVone shows budget. Thats one of the reasons Sister Circle, Roland Martin News Watch got cancelled and many of their show's episodes have been reduced like Unsung.

So they are in a massive hole financially. I am sure you remember one year in the 2010s I believe, TVone covered the CIAA tournament and that when BET was black owned they covered HBCU games in the 90s.

Not sure how Puff money looking at Revolt, but it would be nice if they could pick the SWAC and MEAC up. I can't imagine those deals ESPN gave them to broadcast games on ESPN3 and ESPN plus is really paying those conferences that much money but who knows.

If mock drafts have players from HBCU schools peppered all over the place. If the SWAC and MEAC have prime time match ups with high round draft picks all over the field. If those conferences are getting TV deals that rival the FBS…. Nah. They will want a piece of that action.

One thing white people are good at is exploiting people of color. They will ask them to join.

I’m thinking more in the lines of Amazon or Apple TV. Those two would definitely try to buy in at the right time.

Absolutely they will. You're correct as fukk about that, but I'm saying when they do come knocking the MEAC and SWAC should say no. The move of inviting them in is to keep them under their thumb. The FBS barely acknowledges the conferences under them now that aren't the SEC or Big 10 or Clemson. The Pac 12 commissioner fukked up the Pac 12's seat at the table. The Big 12 just got abandoned.

The FBS ain't the club you want to be invited to anymore if you're capable of operating outside of it and the HBCU can with a little patience. If they can get one or two marquee coaches down there that are willing to stay and build it's gonna get fun. I think getting the TCU and FSU doors slammed in his face helped Deion understand he ain't have to leave. He always had the spotlight and he doesn't need the money.

TO is the person that pops into my head who could do it next and on the level of Deion in terms of getting eyes on a program. He could be a figure head coach like Bowden was and be there talking shyt and recruiting.

That’s sad, they really should’ve passed on DirectTV and kept building the channel up. They could’ve negotiated from a stronger position later on especially if the demand from customers became too irresistible.

Hopefully they’re able to get back in the green. That deal feels predatory as hell. Diddy already deep wit them people so they don’t even need to own half he ain’t bout to do shyt.
