All the "why don't the kids just go to HBCUs" threads gonna be bumped several times over the next few years, Lord willin :hamster:

This is the start of it though. Deion went there and is turning into a place worthy of the top recruit to go.

It's possible if there's a few coaches willing to do it and actually stay there, but we'll know more about Deion's ultimate goal if he uses it as a stepping stone instead of a destination.

so why are you a scUM sucker?:hhh:
I don’t have a logical answer to that question breh..:deadmanny:

It started back in the early 90s of being a kid and watching the fab 5, then the love transferred to the football team. I have no direct ties to UM, I just love the football/basketball team with a passion since a kid…

Wish I could’ve played there, sent tapes. They never really recruited me..:francis:

But I did go on a visit for MSU and I got a couple of calls from OSU but they never made a scholarship offer since they figured I was going to a Texas school and I did not want to redshirt.

Lol damn near every hbcu game is a classic. Lol

lol I am talking outside of the well known classics like the Turkey Day classic, Magic City Classic, Heritage Bowl Classic and etc. Even then the games were on ESPN 3 or ESPN plus or ESPNU. The SWAC championship and Celebration Bowl (if ESPN was broadcasting it) was held on ESPN 2.

With Deion coming on board at JSU ESPN has actually put some of JSU games on ESPN 2 (live and no tape delay). Back in the late 2000s and early 2010s ESPN would mostly play HBCU on games on ESPN 2 (not the well known classic games or SWAC Championship game) on tape delay at around 12 midnight or 1 am on Sunday morning.

That is what I am referring too. I remember many times having to stay up to watch SWAC games to midnight to watch them on tape delay on ESPN 2. Especially sucked when my young cousin played for JSU and I had to stay up to watch him play.

But its no reason to debate this its not important. The important part is due to Deion its easier to see JSU games on TV and online and other SWAC games. Deion has increased the interest in HBCU games that it has forced ESPIN to have them on ESPN plus or ESPN 3 and that youtube streamers are now showing live streams of HBCU teams because they bring in so many viewers now. On any given Saturday there may be 5 or 6 youtube channels streaming live HBCU games during the football season.

I think in the past HBCU coaches never tried to go after top recruits, because there was no path. Coach Prime has literally created one. And with the NIL in place, it’s just a matter of attracting sponsorships.

My ultimate wish is to see the MEAC and SWAC go into the FBS together as a whole. :mjcry: That’s my dying wish. It’s just a matter of convincing these players that THEY MAKE THESE SCHOOLS, not the other way around.

For all the hype Nick Saban gets, he wouldn’t be shyt without all of those black players putting in the work. Without them, he’s nothing.

Mike Vick as head coach of Hampton or Norfolk St though. :wow: Epic

Breh that shyt would be must watch TV. I think the ultimate situation would be a Deion equivalent in the MEAC building a power that would meet JSU in the Celebration Bowl for the next few years.

Swac, meac, saic, and all the other black schools need to create their own mega league amd pool money or creage a pool for the Nil pay for playets.

They will never do it though because they got too many 60s era c00ns in charge who would rather get scraps from white schools than take the risk to build aomething together.

Hell just look at the stupidity of tuskeegee in killing the classic until this year. Smh
