OAL: Develop a fully printable 3D gun
Our initial Wiki Weapon (A) design has no moving parts and relies on a separate, inserted solenoid to fire. We begin with this design to learn from the ABS material itself, but this is a method of trial and error. At $5 per cubic inch, we are at the point where we need outside funds to produce and complete a proof gun. The result of the lessons we learn from WikiWep A will instruct the design and development of Wiki Weapon B, a fully-printable gun comprised of near 100% printable parts.

This is a conservative nightmare too. What's the point of an authoritarian form of government in regards to police and national security when your citizens can get cheaply printed weapons of almost any manufacture?

3D printing is gonna destroy a lot of businesses. It will eventually be socially controlled by governments at some point.

dude do you always have to interject some unfounded political nonsense in everything? no borders, barriers, and restrictions are things most liberals support. if anything 3d printing is a liberal's dream. 3rd world countries and local designers, artisans, and other creative types would gain the most from this as well as the environment. while some big businesses would lose the most.

So you don't see the difference between guns being put together by hand with the right tools and know-how (IE: quite a bit)

and someone downloading components from the internet onto their 3D printer, and then assembling them quickly using a preset blueprint and instruction manual? An automatic weapon? The amount of time, knowledge, and equipment is completely different.
