Youve been defending this invasion this entire time as if it was something natural and unavoidable

Putin wanted Crimea because he has imperialist delusions and it was part of the USSR

He and his lackeys have repeatedly admitted that NATO had nothing to do with it, they were always going to break their treaties because they dont give a fukk

Saying America would invade a neighbor under similar circumstances is ignorant and provides cover for the atrocities occuring in Ukraine

Here's your problem

Defending

I am not DEFENDING anything

American Slavery was just out of pure meanness?

PNB Rock was killed for pure meanness?

If I explain that Americas economy depended on slavery and that was WHY they practiced it.. by your logic I'm defending it.

Or the people who say "stay out of South Central if youre by yourself with no gun with $100K on your neck". Why? Cause there are desperate and ruthless people there that will line you up. These people are DEFENDING robbing and killing?

Hey. Not to DEFEND pit bulls, but don't walk up a strange one and try to pet it.

Take your ass to the UN and protest the war. I have nothing to do with it other that using my ears and eyeballs to glean information about it

America attacked TWO countries on the other side of the world for way less than we are talking here. Especially since Iraq had zero to do with 9/11 and Afghanistan was only tangentially involved (by allowing terrorists to hide there etc).

So America would absolutely pull up.

Don’t be surprised if Putin uses tactical nukes. If he doesn’t get a “win” soon they Russian people/oligarchs will have his head. Wouldn’t put it past him to do something drastic especially after all that woofin
I'm actually more curious how India and china would react to this.

the american economy did not depend on slavery

slavery was a suboptimal economic model compared to paying low wages

russia invaded ukraine out of its imperialist ambitions

a westernized ukraine did not pose any further threat to russian interests than finland joining nato, which was a trade that putin was clearly willing to make

why?

because he believes that he himself should be the tsar of all slavic peoples

so yes, at its core it is just meanness and narcissism that drove this war

attempting to put some blame on the shoulders of ukraine for simply existing as a sovereign nation is wrongheaded and naive

Rep for this point. America unfortunately is constantly warring, constantly training, constantly pouring GDP levels of cash into military technology...most other countries are lucky to know what a skirmish is much less a war. Unfortunately America's greatest export is death. For better or worse, nukes are the only thing that keep other countries from being dikked around further by the USA. Even with our low numbers for recruitment, it only takes one event and suddenly young folks feel patriotic and start enlisting again. War is our DNA.

:ehh:

103 wars in around 240 years, 3 direct wars ongoing.

List of wars involving the United States - Wikipedia

plus the economic and proxy wars.

the EU is different than NATO

"In 2004, as President Kuchma's term came to an end, Yushchenko announced his candidacy for president as an independent. His major rival was Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovych. Since his term as prime minister, Yushchenko had slightly modernized his political platform, adding social partnership and other liberal slogans to older ideas of European integration, including Ukraine's joining NATO and fighting corruption. Supporters of Yushchenko were organized in the "Syla Narodu" ("Power to the People") electoral coalition, which he and his political allies led, with the Our Ukraine coalition as the main constituent force."

Viktor Yushchenko - Wikipedia

hungary and serbia are both part of the EU and staunch russian allies

serbia isn't part of the EU.

So Yuschenko was the president of Ukraine?
