When you argue with people at the extremes of an agenda, it's insufferable. I think it's equally bad.

I feel like the far left is only super problematic when it comes to cancelling people but the far right (which includes white nationalists) wouldn't even entertain you and would be super dismissive.I guess we all have different experiences.
Far right in my experience they listen then disagree.
Far left gets angry immediately and tries to overtalk you.

Like I said I’m left leaning but these days I guess I’m more center compared to you queer affirming trans rights types.
You obviously never met the screaming old women of the far left. The ones (for example) with gay grandkids, who will fight you for any slander against their babies types.

The furtherst left I have ever encountered irl was this white girl who came from New York to canvas for a progressive candidate in our (Philly)local election. She was part of some northeast chapter of American Communists, something I didn't know existed. We talked a few hours and had a nice conversation. Though we both favored progressivism she was very idealistIc, and I think Communism requires a delusional amount of trust into your government. My stance was that politics is cooked after Bernie lost 2020 (I still feel that) and meeting her made me feel like I may be being unfairly cynical. Very cool person and overall. We still talk from time to time.
The furthest right people I know are Bitcoin Maximalist Libertarians. Libertarianism require a person to be delusional about the amount of independence they maintain and take all the comforts of society for granted while they frame their contributions to it as "subjugation" and "theft". For all the big talk these nikkas living in the suburbs, not off the grid in some forest miles away from tax payer funded paved roads. I like their self sufficiency techniques though and learned cool stuff & useful tax dodings techniques.
As for who was been worse, it's right wingers by far. Absolutely mind numbing. They swallow misinformation and propaganda by the boatload and even when you debunk it they don't change their stances. Imagine a white person literally sitting in your face telling you how white men have it harder than black people because all the jobs are being taken from White males and given to black people via DEI.
There is no fact or statistic that supports this statement, yet there is no changing their mind.
I talked to two separate right wingers who ranted about how libs " defunding the police" has contributed to an uptick in crime. Sharing proof with them that police funding had actually increased and crime went down since 2020 did not stop these folks from repeating misinformation a week later.
Beyond the Libertarians, right wingers in general are just the worst in logical conversations and political conversation with them just makes you lose faith in humanity. They think because they aren't as hysterical like they imagine the pink haired feminists that they are stoic & logical but their political stances are all emotion based and usually illogica.
They consistantly pivot to whataboutism when they are pressed on their points or when their cognitive dissonance is disrupted. They start out saying they vote red for " economy " but when you pull ba and layers you'll discover that their allegiance to right wing politics 8/10 is because of some group they have an axe to grind against. Whether its the minorities, women, gays, the poor or all the above labeled as "the libs". They can't be real about it because they would be exposing themselves as another non-wealthy idiot who voted for the wealthy's interest instead of their own because they were baited by bigotry.
The only right winger I met who was honest and voting for his own interests was this midget banker I met in center City who said he despised poor people. He's black.
