It’s me just trying to think what do they when Rose is gone, and would two 3 pt shooters works in the starting lineup

Brunson/IQ
Grimes/RJ
Fournier/Reddish
Randle/Toppin
Mitch/Hart

Isn’t actually bad except I don’t like Fournier’s defense. You couldn’t zone the starters, and the bench is led by RJ with support from IQ, Toppin, Reddish (we hope), and IHart in a five man out offense.

They don’t do it because they got Rose this season. However, it’s not crazy once Rose is gone.
RJ is not coming off the bench after being highest paid player and the number 3 pick:mjlol::mjlol::mjlol:Until Rose retires or chooses to return to Chicago he isn't going anywhere. Ev has one more year then they may not resign him anyway. Cam is gone.

there is a discussion not for this year but probably next year that (when Rose might be gone) maybe RJ should lead the bench unit.

Though it would require a upgrade on Fournier as a wing (who I legit feel is a piece they should look to upgrade in general).

Brunson/IQ
Grimes/RJ
???/Reddish
Randle/Toppin
Mitch/Hart

On the low we might see this during the season because it does look like Thibs wants to experiment.
I only dapped because I'm thinking, we'll have cap after trading picks, vets and some rookies to acquire another 2 guard star.

RJ could start or lead the bench but Grimes has to start off gp.

KP thinks Brunson is gonna do well here. Sounds like he misses NY too.

And he believes Brunson – the Knicks’ new point guard - will be able to handle the heightened scrutiny well.

“Yeah, definitely. He’s pretty stable mentally,” Porzingis said on Friday morning after Wizards shootaround. “Not that he doesn’t care, he does care. Also, he’s closer to home. He’s from New Jersey, right? Grew up here. Feels good here. Has a lot of people here. He’ll be fine through the ups and downs. Coming into it, he knew. It’s a big stage and if you’re not doing good, the fans are going to let you know. And he understands that and he’ll be fine.”

Porzingis won’t play in the Knicks-Wizards preseason game on Friday night. He and the Wizards are being cautious with his ankle injury.

It's been almost four years since Porzingis was traded from New York. He doesn’t seem to harbor any ill feelings toward the Knicks or the city at this point.

He says it will always be special to play at Madison Square Garden. And he has fond memories of his tenure, particularly his rookie season and the stretch early in his third year where he dominated the league.

“The Garden was just incredible,” Porzingis said of a ten-game stretch to start the 2017-18 season. “That was some of the most fun I’ve had.”

Porzingis says things could have been handled differently during his Knicks tenure. Maybe the end result – a trade request and a move to Dallas – could have been avoided.

“It’s hard to say but yeah looking back now, things could have been done differently for sure,” he said. “Now that I’m older, smarter and understand what happened back then, it could have been done differently for sure.”

Porzingis hasn’t spoken publicly about his experience leading up to the trade. Knicks fans certainly remember his post on social media after the trade suggesting that the truth about the trade will come out.
