They fukked up his development. No PG to feed the ball to him, played him a lot of minutes out of position, gave him no development direction because the Knicks had no system, they also should of moved him to PF but stayed investing in PF to play ahead of him…. And he just sucked as a prospect

I did say that in the end…. But I don’t know. Like we shyt on Thibs but almost every coach on his bench is dedicated to development. While he is running dudes in the ground to get 40 wins the guys not playing are working on developing or in the g league. Knox use to just sit on the bench and work with who knows what?

I love this story. Especially bc it’s with regards to a score-first guard that can distribute and not a pure playmaker. Being a lead guard, especially in today’s game, doesn’t require elite passing. It requires controlling tempo, recognizing mismatches and imbalances, and attacking the holes on defense. I think Jalen Brunson is cut from a cloth to do this and I would LOVE to see deuce develop that ability. Rose can stick around if he mentors these guys on that (and IQ started to catch on to it late in the season).
