I could be wrong, but i think they know they can get Brunson. Connections aside, most of free agency around the league is already being wrapped up as we speak.
No doubt they can get Brunson, cause he is going to play for whoever cashes him out. But the question is should the knicks be making moves to dump picks to clear up space on a bad contract while also setting up picks that might not even convey to first rounders in the future? I think the answer to that is a resounding no. They need to tear this shyt down and build around RJ, Toppin, Quickley, and MAYBE Mitch, but Thibs aint in New York for a rebuild and won't survive that so time to throw away picks and roll the dice on a nikka nobody outside of the Dallas Fort Worth area heard of until the Jazz made him a house hold name in the 1st round of the playoffs.
