Starting to look at the prospects in this draft and it's one of those drafts where my favorite prospects aren't great fits for NY. Like I really Ben Mathurin's game...but I wouldn't draft him for this roster. Jalen Duren is the kind of prospect, I'd like to take a shot at developing...but not with the logjam he'd be running into. Meanwhile, Ty Ty Washington is a perfect fit, but something about his game is missing for me.

I feel the same. This is an unorthodox draft. Just based on the odds a star player is likely going to be a SG or a Center. I legit like a few guys, but more based on fit than raw talent.

He revels in stirring the pot, but he does seem like he has sources and generally isn’t too far off even when he exaggerates. I think the rose crew signed those vets figuring even if there was regression, it wouldn’t make them unmovable. Now it’s way less certain.
I agree on the superstar trade stuff too. I don’t know how you do it without including rj and I wonder what would be left in the aftermath.

Mitch is basically gone in FA, probably to Detroit, Dallas, or NO. His uncle tweeted something about he can’t wait for Mitch to get out of NY
Brunson might come for the Knicks off GP, and they hire his pop as a coach (this felt like speculation)
The Knicks like Jabari or Ivey if they move up. If they get Jabari they will figure out Randle and Obi after.

The vets have no real trade value. Even Randle playing better hasn’t helped his trade value.
RJ is the only piece teams want because he looks like he will be an all star. If the Knicks traded for Donovan Mitchell it would cost RJ. Zion might be cheap because he is tanking his value right now.
This offseason the Knicks have to fix the ship, because it won’t get easier to do it. They have no cap room and not as many trade assets as they use to.
Wes telling Dolan he blames Thibs for this offseason holds a lot of weight because he is close to Dolan outside of this job
