dre wasnt at his peak yet...he was done n did all he could do with g-funk...

sam sneed in the mix now..so now he was focusin on somethin new..

dre is the biggest chamelon in the rap game production wise..

wrecking crew he was doin what dj unknown n dj slip nem was doin with the techno scene in la...

techno die in la...public enemy was hittin hard with the street shyt.. so dre studied the bomb squad...n the nwa compilation n the 1st nwa album were bomb squad influence..

p.e. die.. big hutch n above the law get signed...hutch nem came with g-funk...so dre studied it... nikkaz4life was dre copyin what hutch nem was doin..

he left death row..so he continued n mastered what hutch was doin with gfunk..n made it his..

that died.. sam sneed in the mix..so he masters sam sneed sound..keep their heads ringin n natural born killers...

meets mel man...started doin mel man sound...meets eminem..starts doin em sound...

dre's peak was the 2nd chronic..he put all the era's he mastered together for that album..u can hear every single era in that album if u jus listen

I would like to see what he'd do with Max Martin

then I'd like to see what he'd do with Prince

Have you actually heard Em's music before he met Dre? He wasnt rapping over those cartoony ass beats until he signed with Aftermath. Dre gave him that sound at least

Found this not too long ago and have been listening to it recently. Some dope remixes and unreleased tracks I never heard before.

Eminem needed a sound - Mike Elizondo is largely behind it

and the sound he came in with from the Bass Brothers

I don't disagree with much of that, I know full well about ATL and Big Hutch, taking styles, studio musicians, etc.

But Dre always had the ear, always knew how to arrange, and knew when something was dope. He was the biggest reason DR was what it was. He also had an eye for talent and made some of the biggest artists of all time what they were.

yall are vastly overrating dogg food its solid NOT a classic -like i said its not even a top 10 album from 1995

and base off funk da world being the 1st badboy LP and flavor in ur ear being da song that set shyt off thereafter the remix going down as historically an ALL TIME CLASSIC song, colabo& movement makes it >>> dogg food which basically besides snoop kicking down a nyc building in there vid has lil to no effect to the game

bruh, "dogg food" >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> "funk da world"

end of story :camby:

Some muthaphukka was just talking to me in the same cadence from that speech as if I never saw that

"If you wanna . . . without all the. . . give me a call"

bullshyt...before their was even a Death Row click His crew of 2ndIInone, Hi-c, AMG, Penthouse Playas Click were all making noise.
But Quik doesn't have the history of getting cats like Cube, Snoop, Em, DPG etc I didn't say Hi-C and them were wack just that they weren't the same star level as Death Row artists. The post I was replying to asked why Quik had never been at the helm of a popular label and that is one of my reasons why I think that hasn't happened. Quik is an ARTIST but not every artist is an astute business man.

Well...everyone you named pretty much came off the NWA or pretty much Dre. Whom might have been bending over for execs(dualities) where Quik always seemed to do his own thing in his own lane which lead to him even having to fukk with Suge/DR to begin with. I would say that when he was popping his artists music was on par with anyone at the time. Another problem Quik had was he seemed to fall out with people and hold grudges at a high rate. I say all this to end with the reason I would think quick never got to run his own label is he started and held a lot of grudges :manny:
