c00n flick if i ever saw one

bedwenching? check

effeminate black males? check

people begging for white acceptance? check

If that's all you saw in this film, then you are basically no different from what the movie is trying to portray. I get it, you are wearing a mask and pretending your militancy online.... :camby:

The movie is arguably the most honest in exposing the complexities of black people trying hard to be something that they are not just to be accepted in (for and or against) this white oppressive society. And truly exposes how most white people are and what they think of us.

brought up a lot of good points that are ignored by modern day media in concern to white views on black people

also i can appreciate them trying to show the complexities of black people but the movie ironically fell into affirmation of stereotypes as well.

i did also appreciate the spike lee feel. that was cool. dont know if it was intentional

the main girl character threw me way off though.

overall: average movie, glad i waited after theaters

this movie is trash. sometimes i cant tell if its satire or being serious. obviously its satire, but it just doesnt feel natural. everything about this movie is forced. 2.5/5 just based on the 2 or 3 laughs i got out of it. this movie didnt even have any eye candy even.

Funny enough, finally caught it on Friday and liked it.

The sub text to all of it was pretty interesting. :leon:

Watched it last night. Not a bad movie. Not amazing but thought provoking.
Hated all the main characters, and hated the ending. I know she gave a reasoning for why she did what she did as to show the true light of white folk but I felt like they could have done it without having her do it. Because in real life situations where parties like that are thrown, which they brought up in the credits, a "Sam" wouldn't be involved.
Other than that it was ok.
