The thought that ima fall asleep and wake up within a minute drives me bonkers
And I be dead tired, sleep 2 or 3 mins and wake up refreshed
Then it takes me at least an hour to get tired again

Im not smoking weed

in alot of cases weed will make your anxiety worse... you really got work on it mentally, it's all in the way you think the best tool i ever found to combat anxiety was meditation.

How To Meditate II - Sitting Meditation - YouTube

Thanks
It was a struggle to get thru the video
I have no patience for that calm shyt
I def need to practice that
I had tried breathing techniques before but I couldn't last a whole min
The whole time I'm thinking to myself that this shyt is silly
I need a change, I know that

It's not just some magical shyt, you can look at the scientific validity behind meditation if you like. I had major issues with anxiety that were brought to the surface because i was always :smoker: but i found meditation, and with it a whole new mindset. shyt i'd say my anxiety changed me for the better :ld:

What you are working at is quieting your mind. One minute is not enough time. One week is not enough time. Try starting off with 5 minutes per day just to get in the habit. You want to ramp it up to - lets say - 30 min over the course of a month.

Basically you want to be able to sit quietly and listen and watch without "talking". Not out loud to others, out loud to yourself, nor (hard part>>>) in your head.

For someone who is use to constantly thinking to themselves this wil seem impossible. Over time you will simply begin to talk to yourself LESS. It wil take a long time to learn to shut up mentally.

Don't stress and "yell" at yourself for not being able to shut up mentally. Just let whatever thoughts float by. Observe them and let them pass. Don't tell yourself to shut up or grab onto the idea and start chewing on it. This is the first step. Don't add to the noise and eventually it will begin to calm down.

Your mind is a pool of water. Your thoughts are rocks thrown into the water. If you want it to be calm you haveto learn to stop throwing stones. At first you will learn to agitate it less and perhaps eventually you can let it become totally still.

Take xanax. It works but doesn't solve your underlying problems. Most weed doesn't help with anxiety but some stains do like strawberry cough. People sometimes say weed makes their anxiety worse and that's because weed isn't an escape from reality, it actually enhances reality. This may sound silly but I get way better sleep after I clean my room and put new sheets on the bed

Do you workout, lift weights, play sports? If not, you should start. Not only will this help with anxiety (at some level), but it will get you tired enough where your body will shut down because of the need of rest.

I agree with everything said in here. Honestly I dont prefer medication (I've done it but always felt like it was a crutch but I needed it at the time). But if its that bad use xanax and all the other stuff recommended in here (progressive relaxation, meditation, exercise, etc). Then just keep at it until you dont need the xanax anymore.

I was on xanax and klonopin for like 6 months and did all these things and got off of it. Now I'm straight (not totally every now and them maybe a litttle anxiety but its nowhere near as bad). I'd only recommend xanax (I didnt think the klonopin did anything to be honest and I dont like all those chemicals in my body). And whatever other drugs they try and give you :whoa: (they tried to give me anti-depressants  like nikka I aint depressed) throw them shyts in the bushes.

Its no wonder Americans have such drug problems, they prescribe you pills with no hesitation, they make it too easy to be a drug dealer (if I was that type of nikka tho) but I digress.

whats up to all my meditators :salute: we oughtta get a thread goin

i actually came in to suggest the same shyt. like they said breh, you gotta keep workin at it... and more importantly you gotta take it serious. its not just about closing your eyes and bein quiet. its about really tryna cancel out your thoughts/fears/stress/anxiety and really gettin to the core of what/who YOU really are... then watch how much you learn about yourself/life :ohhh: its almost like its own high, you'll be hooked once you get that first real experience with it. i think you should wait until a time when you're REALLY stressin or dealin anxiety so you can really pursue the experience and appreciate it when it happens. the more bullshyt on your brain, the more you can let off, the more you'll feel at ease :ahh:
